I still haven't heard back from any of the managing/estimating gigs yet.

Got the job!!! Compared to my last job, it's: more money, comparable insurance, a company truck (vs using mine), a gas card (vs buttsecks), two box store credit cards (vs unpaid trade accounts and doing things out of my pocket sometimes), and a company phone (vs using mine, not that that's much of an issue any more)


Ah ain't nivver had no company truck afore . . . .


I took it. I start Friday.

No, I turned down three interviews yesterday. I have gotten a job of . . . this calibre.


I'm on the hunt for the next notch up, so I shan't be talking to any more of these at this level. What's the point?

It's why I seem to be Perpetually Single in spite of my wit, charm, and (aging) boyish good looks.


I'm just looking at a way to be able to gain back a bit of time, since I can't get the cats to attempt to market any of their skillsets for fun and profit. If I could move up one notch, I can lose the evening gig after a few months.


Did I mention that I absolutely loathe the term "skillset"???
