I had to install some shoe molding today around a vanity cabinet that had been ignored - in spite of the fact I told the guy to check upstairs, too. So I pulled out the coping saw and coped the joints.


The building didn't fall down on my watch . . . .

Now Princess does not want to file her taxes because she has to go to the SS office and get her name corrected. I met her there, but the government shuts down at noon on Wednesday.



And it will interfere with her newest Spring break scheme.

I did my part, now it will be open war between the Queen and the Princess. I will go into hiding.

I knew a guy who built a man-cave/fort in his back yard. It started life as a storage she, and then the wing went on, and the dedicated electric cable out to the shed, and then the furniture appeared.


So, there were lights, music, a fridge for the beer, and so on.


When it got interesting in the house, he retired out back.


He didn't have enough guns-n-cars stuff in it.

I can't find my contact lenses so I arranged to see an optometrist.

My previous optometrist was local, so I was used to his politness and sugar-coating.
The new optometrist was foreign and quite blunt - which is ok, since my social skills aren't that great either.
His first words after the eye exam: "You're Very short sighted". Geeze, thanks.
etc. etc.

But anyway. He gave me these trial bifocal lenses which are supposed to help me both with reading and seeing long distance. The latter's fine, but I have trouble reading and the letters get blurry.
Anyone had experience with these things?

I need to go to the eye doctor I've been using the dollar store readers for years. I can read anything in bright enough light, but how often does that happen?

I think that I need to sit down with the head of this house and make some serious financial goals for the next 12 months. There are also a few repairs that are beginning to get desperate.


And I have some shopping to do for the job today, too, to fix the desperate things there . . . .
