But the reality, by now, should be obvious to everyone. Our government in no way functions according to the elevated words on the parchment, and President Trump does not control the executive branch. I say this not to disparage the president but only to state a plain fact. No doubt, he has done his best. I doubt that anyone else could have done better. But while facing a near-universal rebellion from every power center in our society, emphatically including the agencies he was elected to lead, naturally he has found it very difficult to make the federal bureaucracy do what he tells it to do.

Oh, I spun the little spinners, they are free to move,
but all it was going was humming.
I pushed the reset button several times
and voilà! I cured the hum.
Now it is completely inert...

Might have a thermal protect. The hum means something is jammed, usually.

Had a good day. Weather was pleasant. Got on the roof and unfucked a bit. That felt good to get put behind us. Made an evaluation for the silicone project this fall. Pressure washing for sure. Wonder if there's a primer for the spots down to metal. We'll see.


Went to J's for leftovers of last night's wondemous meal. The marinated steaks rocked. It was a nice wrap-up.

Yeah, nothing works, it's just replacement time.
The connection to the sink is a rusted mess,
so this might be fun. I'm pretty sure this is something
I don't need the guy for, but at the first hint of
trouble, he's getting the call...

Damned dog gets up early.
To her credit, she went straight to the door
and I don't want to have to clean up accidents,
but I am considering a second kennel and
locking her up at night and then woking on
the barking. It's the combination of that, digging
up the carpet and trying to get through the door
that really makes this and urgent problem and the
thing of it is that this is a fairly recent development.

Definitely a morning for too much coffee.
There's a lot on my plate today.

While you're on kitchen household chores, the cabinet over my sink is trying to come a-loose. I find this to be amusing irony. Speaking of irony, I remembered to pick up my cleaned and ironied shirts from the cleaners


Looks like today and tomorrow are the two t-storm kinda days. I need to know that my leak patch took. No matter, sine we're moving forward on all the other bits, and then tying into the wee renovations which have gotten to the demanding-to-be-done stage. Homeownership isn't for pussies.

I was steaming some rice Saturday, when I noticed
that because of space needs for the rest of the project
that I had positioned the steamer right under a cabinet
and was steaming the bottom of it, so I immediately
rearranged everything, bit one wonders what 15
minutes might have wrought in the long-term.
