Worked all day gittin' 'er done, then went to the 2nd job, then came home and changed clothes and tackled the rest of the drywall mud in the project room, then pulled up 90% of the rest of the overlaid floor.
I'm eating Cream-of-Wheat for supper and plan to be unconscious within two hours.

Yeah, they are everywhere here. I go to work in the dark and see them every day (night). Sometimes even as I walk up to where I keep the truck parked.

Yes, aside from being shocked and a little pissed off. She said the car in front of her spooked it and her choices were to hit the deer, or be rear-ended by the car behind her if she slammed on the brakes to miss the deer. She said all she could think was,"OMG was that real...did that really just happen?" The car is actually driveable, it just looks like hell.
Being as I am an awesome mom I offered to make deer steak for dinner tomorrow so she could exact some symbolic revenge on her deer nemesis. Apparently, I am weird.

Fucking deers. There was a big hornless something standing by the road with that deer in the headlights look while I was going to work on Tuesday. S/he was just waiting to become deerburgers,the fucking st000pid creature. I have to be careful - if I wipe out the front end of my truck, it gets totalled and that's no fucking good at all.
I hit the brakes. Every time. If they hit me in the ass, they collide with the tow hitch support system which is fastened to the frame, and they total their shit. I get a huge hit in the ass, literally. And I get paid.
It finish-the-project-room day today. I'm in the drinking coffee and considering it portion of that. And I am reaching around the lapcat to type . . . .

I've attacked the last few wee drywall repairs.
I was going to do the laundry, but there's a load of girl-stuff sitting wet in the washer. I swear to Allah, that shit kinda annoys the everlovin' fuck outta me, and I'm not sure why. Maybe, because when I was living here alone, the washer was ready 27/7/365. Truth is, I need the thing so seldom, and . . . it's not all about me.
We had the talk about locked windows and doors. We have a roaming band of st000pids in the greater neighborhood robbing houses. They operate during the day, when people are at work, and they come in through unlocked windows and doors. Easy to prevent, but you have to be consistent. Because, I'd really hate to be home and have those fuckers come in and be fed a Lead Sandwich. Coming in my house when I'm home is Invasion, and that's a triple-tap offence.
Off to do some woodwork . . . and to ponder this Really Bargain Silver Bulk Deal that's just a bit of a stretch . . . but if I can front a loan until payday, it works. Most likely . . . .

The housemate is bouncing off the motherfucking walls she's so happy to have her own bedroom. I'm brainstorming a couple of draftstopping methods so that room will be more comfortable, but short of putting it upstairs and rotating the house 180* so that side faces south, I'm a touch limited. But I'm sure I'll have some out-of-the-box idea and make it as good as possible.
Ya gotta love old houses, because if'n it isn't something, it's another . . . .
