I thought it could be fun to share the things that we enjoy during downtime.

Books, paintings, movies, TV shows, poetry, video games, etc. It's fair game if it was created as a form of self-expression and/or entertainment. Really the only format I'm excluding is song. We have a space for songs and it's awesome.

One selection per day please. A photo, link, or video is encouraged!

Day one: Something that has a memorable intro

Day two: Something that reminds you of a lover

Day three: Something that makes you happy

Day four: Something that's "unputdownable"

Day five: Something that makes you feel nostalgic

Day six: Something that fills you with awe

Day seven: Something that makes you wish time travel was real

Day eight: Something that was created by one of your favorite artists

Day nine: Something that brings you comfort

Day ten: Something that won an award in its field (or it really should have)

Day eleven: Something you loved as a child and still love just as much

Day twelve: Something that's underrated

Day thirteen: Something that made you cry

Day fourteen: Something that says a lot without actually saying anything

Day fifteen: Something that made you sympathize with a character you'd dislike in real life

Day sixteen: Something that was introduced to you by a friend

Day seventeen: Something you love that's outside your normal interests

Day eighteen: Something that seems like it was created under the influence

Day nineteen: Something that you wish was real

Day twenty: Something that changed your perspective

Day twenty-one: Something that scared you as much as it fascinated you

Day twenty-two: Something that made you laugh out loud

Day twenty-three: Something that makes you want to travel

Day twenty-four: Free Day (something that you just really want to share)

Day twenty-five: Something that had the perfect ending

And that's a wrap!

I just read a few now and I love it! I've definitely got stuff to read tonight 🤭

Day 1: Something that has a memorable intro.
I'll go with my favorite opening to a novel, from Douglas Adams's The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

"The story so far: In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move."

So iconic and so true.

Swwet!

Day 1 a memorable opening

I love a good opener for a book. One of my favorites, from Slaughterhouse V. How are you not just IN after this? So many questions!

“All this happened, more or less. The war parts, anyway, are pretty much true. One guy I knew really was shot in Dresden for taking a teapot that wasn’t his. Another guy I knew really did threaten to have his personal enemies killed by hired gunmen after the war.”

It’s a long opening scene, but probably the best. The only one in competition to me is the opening love story in Up

I've never heard of this show but now I absolutely have to watch it.
It's amazing!!!! Apple tv show, there are 4 seasons now I think they just finished the 4th.

I watched that and Ted Lasso (another good one) on a plane and got hooked to both!

I'm definitely adding that show to my list. I keep hearing how amazing Ted Lasso is. I'm afraid to start it with such high expectations lol.
Oh I'll be back for more. 😶‍🌫️
See you for day two!
