Is Trump fit for a second term?

You can if you want to but I recommend that you not.

Why'd you pick this one...oh right

We

Know

Why

Do we want his family in power again?
Just… crude!
I remember questions about Jimmy Carter’s kids
Trump’s kids?

"There's literally no amount of Viagra on earth that's going to give Joe Biden (who can barely walk without falling over) wood. Just stop! The more desperate they become trying to make him seem young and vibrant the more obvious it is to everyone that he's not up to any task!," Donald Trump Jr. wrote on X.

wtf??

Alvin Brag, AG, is moving to get ahead of Donald's Trumps well-known vitrolic attacks on witnesses and legal staff at trials by requesting a gag order before the next court case lands in court.

One of Trump's favorite campaign tactics is trolling the Dems. He wants to keep them provoked and angry, instead of thinking rationally about his appeal to swing voters. But eight years is a long time to troll an entire party. Aside from the usual shouters, he may get just an eyeroll, don't drop the soap, etc. And they may not be worth the trolling work this time. He may need a new act to run against RFK. If he adapts and creates a new act that works, then that would be some mental fitness.

Ironically the overwhelming vast majority of Trump voters don't listen to a thing Trump says. If they did they'd have to pause and critically reflect on why they are voting for someone with obvious alzheimers and dementia who can't get through one speech without massive and protracted slurring, word salad, sweating, tangential rambling and paranoia.

Another of his favorite tactics that he has used for decades is make people underestimate him. That sounds like it is working better than ever. But copying the other guy's senility would be an odd choice.

🙄

Watch him.

It's obvious you don't.

That's the point; no, according to the Constitution he is NOT eligible. Not according to the 14th amendment, section 3:

No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

This was written with the express purpose to prevent someone like Trump from ever holding public elected office in the United States government, after being responsible for what he did.

It's pretty clear as written. There really isn't much room for debate. According to the Constitution, Trump committed an act of insurrection and rebellion. Ergo, he is not eligable to hold office.
I am no supporter of the orange dictator but until he is found guilty of engaging in an insurrection, he is still technically eligible. If the Supreme Court upholds the CO ruling of his eligibility then we have something.

The voting polls in several primary states will open in a few hours. Please vote on informed data considering the best choice for America in the future.

You yanks are idiots if you put this clown back in power, not that the doddery old Biden is much better.

Donald has more troubles. He is now pleading for the court to extend his timeline for delivery of the bond for E. Jean Carroll's 83.3m. He filed an 'emergency extension.' That's humor in writing.

A week ago, his attorney shamefacedly filed a request for the judge to take $100m in lieu of the $454m for the fraud case that is nearing. 'He's so wealthy, anybody and everybody knows he will be good for the money, judge, so just take the 100m, and let's get on with the appeal.'

BTW the judge said no dice.

Interestingly, he offered $100m for the second case and then showed up to tell the judge he didn't have the funds for the first one; a few days later, he only needed 83.3m, which is due Monday. Why didn't he use that $100m?

Even Elon Musk turned him down for a loan when Trump hit him up the other day.

Time is ticking. Keep an eye on the sleight of hand maneuvers.

1. Trump doesn't have any appeal to swing voters, which is why he's never won the popular vote.
2. Thinking rationally about Trump and being "provoked and angry" are not mutually exclusive...in fact, the former will inspire the latter in anyone with an IQ above 90 or so.
3. He doesn't have tactics. That would require planning, and Trump doesn't plan, he reacts.

He’ll win the popular vote this time. Compared to Biden Trump is a great planner. Even people with IQs under 90 can see the destruction Biden leaves in his wake.

Well to be fair, they did describe a large portion of Trump supporters - as well as themselves - people with an IQ under 90.

:nana:

Were this true, it raises a question:

Why are you disparaging them for their handicap?

That's exactly what the likes of you were saying this time in 2020.

Tonight's Presidential State of the Unition Address was delivered with good and strident oldster, Mr. Biden, and layed out many future goals and accomplishments. People looking for pitfalls or in DT's case things he could make fun of didn't get them.

As for Trump's party response, it was delivered by a sweet smiling forty-year mom serving her first term in office as a representative of Alabama. I don't think she carried the counter message well. Never mentioned anything the Republicans propose to do to overcome the 'horrible' laundry list of things Biden had done.

Trump announced he would have a play by play response - anyone know when?

Qualifications for the Presidency are light in the Constitution. On character, there are none at all. Trump met them the first time he ran. It appears uncertain whether he exhibits the traits that mark a good presidency the second time, although his MAGA crowd cheers for him. Is he really 'that' well qualified to run again? Your thoughts?
No. Hell no.

The above source is a compelling reflection by a former Republican supporter of Trump. Jim Young is a retired senior banking executive and community leader in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. These are some of his words from the article:

“… I recently read "Oath and Honor: A Memoir and a Warning" by former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo. The book details her work as a senior leader in the investigation of the Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol.

“I was surprised by the impact the book has had on my thinking about Trump’s role in attempting to overturn the results of the election and the incitement of the Jan. 6 mob attack on the Capitol.

“After reading Cheney's book, I was inspired to read the executive summary of the official finding of the Jan. 6 Select Committee. I also have read the indictment filed by the Justice Department against Trump.

“All three documents are clear, well-documented, and tell a consistent story.”

Jim Young, a former loyal supporter of Trump, has realized Trump for what he is – not a good candidate for the Presidency. Please read the book, evaluate it, and see if you reach the same conclusion before you vote in the next presidential election.
