The school I went to required us to wear a blue, pleated, plaid skirt, white blouse and a blue blazer. What shoes and socks, stockings, etc. was up to us. Sometimes girls wore pantyhose, I never liked them but did wear them for real cold weather. I wore basic shoes and either knee socks or ankle socks, depending on the weather. I wore pretty basic panties.
