It shows a man remembering the love, and why he got married in the first place, and one who's able to look at his marriage from his partner's view... It takes effort, communication, honesty and freedom to say anything without placing blame, guilt or judgement, and/or feeling threatened, judged or ridiculed... It requires the same kind of listening, as well.

HeyNikki, please tell them! It really is great for children to have a sense that their parents have pleasure with each other in the baby making department even when they are not intending to make any more babies, and for them to gain a sense that it really is a lot of fun for you!

They're 8 and 6... A little too soon. But we will when the time is right. Neither of them have even asked where babies come from yet.

I hope it's a lovely exchange for them and for you when it happens. Our youngest was I think 7 when we left a book for them to find in the living room one Saturday morning, and then bring upstairs to talk to us about. It went well.

Through those years we had a rule about Saturday morning: they went straight downstairs rather than into our room. It worked fine and we could have that lazy morning smootch humpy stuff with no concern. When they were no longer little we fixed a bolt on the bedroom door, just in case they forgot about the knock and wait rule. That continues to give my wife a sense of freedom from the bed and from the covers - and the one still at home is 30!

*sigh* was he traveling. I just got to remove that as an excuse. But well see. Been home for 6 months and the average aint that good. Thought of starting a new thread..."Things you dont want to hear just before sex". Seems to help wipe out desire.... "Did the dog do its duties?"(ie did the dog pee and poop).
