Remember that more than half of all paperback books sold are romance novels. Remember also that the Romance genre is basically the only corner of modern literature where you can get away spending more than a paragraph on the sex act--or show more than a paragraph's worth, either. (Sexy Discretion Shot, begone!) Finally, remember that romance novels are purchased primarily by women.
Do women like porn? By and large, it's a male-oriented industry, so it's probably not surprising if the average woman has tried it and found that it doesn't have much to offer her. What this does not mean is that this woman does not like sex. It seems that she does, at least if the above facts are to be trusted (and I urge you to make up your own mind on the matter). She just don't like sex the way porn presents it.
Have you ever read anything by Chuck Palahniuk (he wrote Fight Club)? Definitely not romance, but tonnes of sex. I learned terms like sounding and pegging from his books.
