A booth in the middle of nowhere

Well, I'm hoping to...I'm trying to...quite a bit of errands to run so I'm about to wander away for that for a little while, but I'll be back on and off today...I took last night off to recouperate from the Faire so I was up very early...I'll take a nap at some point to get me back on schedule for work tonight but otherwise I'll probably be hoping on and off...

Everything accomplished...the permit should be available by tomorrow afternoon...I'm having the fence behind my house replaced...

Now I can kick back and, well, do nothing really...I expect I'll sleep some, read the two chapters I'm behind in Laresa and maybe play some video games...

The Dhase continue...

Happy Halloween!

A very good objective for today...Seeing as I have to work tonight I can't say the same, but I'm currently watching my wife start Final Fantasy XII

Well, the next chapter of the Dhase (Gifting Night) is up...Check it out here at Gifting Night Ch. 2: Second Awakening...I should be able to get chapter three submitted...And never fear, I already have through chapter 5 written and know the basics of six and seven...

Although tonight I will hopefully finish writing my next Laresa chapter...Ah, who am I kidding, I'm working office, I'll be kicking around here too much to write

I used to be cooped up in a booth like that. Overnight shift in an all night gas station.

I used to show up for work and watch the day shift person run out of there. Then I would set up a camera or three, clean the place out and kick back to relax.

Well okay, I didn't relax too much. This was the absolute worst neighborhood on Cape Cod. Across the street were not one but three different bars. On one side of the booth were the drug houses while on the other were the docks for the fishing boats.

The doors to the booth had triple locks on them, and the booth was covered with Diamond Point Steel. Under the counter were several weapons.

My cameras covered the area in front of the booth and along both sides.

I have pictures of some of the most interesting things people do.

One thing I loved about this job was being able to grab shifts. The others who worked there realy didn't want to work so they would gladly swap shifts with me. I always managed to work on the evenings before a storm came in. The bigger the storm the happier I was.

On the shift before a storm I would show up with my pockets laoded with change and bills. These I would stack up below the counter.

When a storm came in the people would start their panic buying, paying for their gas with whatever they could lay their hands on. After three years in that gas station I had several thousand dollars face value of silver coins. I also had several hundred dollars worth of Silver and Gold Certificates. Best of all for me, I had almost a thousand dollars, face value, of Gold Coins.

I was almost sad to leave that job.

Lol! I do the same thing with Silver certs, Silver Dollars (halves and wholes) and gold Dollars...We have a couple hundred saved up at this point 'cause we don't get the same kinds of rush use...I'll get one a night or so...Oh, and I collect the $2 bills as well...

Actually, we used a good number of the Gold $s this past weekend at the Ren Faire...felt good to wander around paying for things in gold coins at a fantasy themed ren faire...

To the best of my knowledge none of what I have is worth much...though there is an oversized piece or two (like a giagantic $0.50 piece)...As for the gold $ they're all Sacagewias (or however it's spelled)...Pretty much everything is mostly face value for what I have...not surprising since most of the time people don't keep the good stuff in their cars so we don't get much panic stuff...

I finally read Ch 1 and 2. Very hot sex scenes! Here are some of your expressions that I particularly enjoyed:

She stood out like a blazing star amid a cloudy sky.
The elder slid into the seat with a feline grace that Katherine could only envy.
A single kiss, and this the passion he transferred, unbearable, unimaginable.
Each pulse sent her farther, compounding on each other
After three passes Katherine's arms buckled beneath her

The pendulum swung faster and faster with each advancement in communications, after all.
She knew, from experience, to expect the resurgence of emotions, but could never have anticipated the extent.
Through licking alone, Katherine created a furrow in the pink ball of ice-cream. The very same tongue now traced suggestive paths along the length. ... Each tender pass brought to mind exactly the images the young woman intended, to judge by the desire pulsing throughout her aura.

The story certainly continues, and with each chapter try to lead in tot he next fairly smoothly without leaving too much of a cliffhanger...On of the things I decided on quickly was that the second part of each chapter leads into the next by the change of perspective...You'll know who will be the focus of the next chapter before it comes out...

and Chapter 3 has been submitted and awaits approval...

A reminder that it's the little things that are the most magical

Last night I sat in my booth, dejected, despirited and depressed...I was out of energy, out of desire...I tried writing but even that failed to inspire me...So I sat...

I had to struggle to turn my eyes to find out what the slight noise was right in front of me...

From somewhere a ladybug fell into my cash drawer...stunned (I always thought of them as spring insects) I reach down to put a finger out...Blithe as can be it crawled on and began to investigate me...

For the next fifteen (or so) minutes we studied each other...as I watched its explorations, wandering over my watch, struggling over the coarse dark hair of my arm. my mood slowly improved...I wasn't overly happy, certainly, but I was no longer down...

I know it's cliche, but the most miraculous thing in life is life itself...
