A booth in the middle of nowhere

Oh goodie!

I want to do some new av type shots, but whenever there's time (and no kids about), I feel totally not av-worthy!

Hey Cerise! Long time no see. How's life?

It's a Cerise!!! *lots of huggles*:kiss::rose: How's it going babe?

*Hugs*

To both of you:heart:. Sorry I've been MIA, but RL has been crazy: I'm in charge of a lot of new things at work, plus taking two night classes that are super-accelerated. I'm also mentoring one of the new teachers, and trying to squeeze in a dance class here and there.

I've been lurking here and there, but not too much time to post. Good to see the two of you seem well :)

It's alright, we understand. Sounds like a hectic schedule, one that I for one wouldn't be able to cope with. Hope all is going well despite the busy.

Yeah, I know  But those sort of pics only work if you feel it too, ya know?

I'm well, just going crazier - summer school holidays, proofreading work, chain story overdue, eep!
At least hubby went back to work today, so that's one kid less to wrangle ;)

Your life sounds positively insane right now!

It's a little nutty, but I'll be done in April. Plus I'm saving up to go back to my hometown this summer, so I have something to look for. If i wasn't getting naturalized this year (it's expensive), I'd have treated myself to the Litogether for Spring break.

How about you? Work not wearing you out too much?

I got my doc to write restrictions for my work schedule, that way I'm not working too much. It's worked out pretty well, though I had to fight with boss to get to that point. Not sure what I'm going to do after the baby is born, I can't stay home but at the same time I'm not sure if I can continue to be a supervisor if they aren't going to compromise with my schedule...

Lol. Insane seems to work for me; makes it harder to procrastinate.

That's right, I forget in this part of the world, there isn't much support as far as maternity. At least you're not overworking yourself during the pregnancy.

I don't think it's quite as bad here as the US, but we're close - the support is mostly lipservice and only doing what is absolutely necessary legally. Very frustrating.

One of my colleagues was at work recently, until the day before she gave birth, because she said she couldn't afford to take the last week off.

I have one aunt that keeps asking me when I'm going to have kids. I always answer, "when I can afford it."

Here we have to take time off - supposedly 6 weeks before and 6 weeks after the birth. We can take up to a year and still get our old job back.
I know of people who have worked right up to the end of the pregnancy, because the maternity leave is unpaid. But the government gives a "baby bonus" when the baby is born - I think it's $3000 now (Keeps changing - when I had my three I got nothing, $500 and $900).

That's the thing, they do have to hold your old job back (at least in this state), but really, who can afford all that time off without pay?

Only people who didn't need to work in the first place. (I mean, seriously, would you work if you didn't have to?)

I think I would. I'd probably work a lot less though. I might go stir crazy if I stopped altogether. Speaking of crazy... it is back on the front page.

Hey, I didn't mind being in the pouncetrap! :cathappy:
