Do you ever get them? They're the type of comment or private feedback that are generally positive in telling you they liked the piece, but just...go there.

"This story was so hot, reminded me of one of my teachers back in high school in 63. You coaxed two loads from these 80 year old balls"

I mean, I'm glad the story brought back a fun fantasy and 'inspired you' but as the title says "TMI"

The worst-for an I/T story-are the ones that tell you the story was great...then start telling you how they performed all kinds of sex with 'fill family member in here' and I stop reading as soon as it goes down that path and hope they're blowing smoke, because fantasy is the only place that shit's okay.

See a lot in group sex stories where the reader feels compelled to tell us all about that threesome or orgy they had.

One thing I've noticed if they all start with a sentence about "Loved the story" then devolves into their memoirs, whether real or made up. I wonder sometimes if they even read them and are just looking for a platform to do the cool story bro...I mean after all, where could one find a site to post dirty stories on, and for free?

But the ones that just say a little too much...

I've had a couple of those, and they really creeped me out. One even ended with "I'll share more details if you want to hear."

I get those, and I've gotten them in PM form here, but never from an AH member, more the fetish crowd.

The worst was on a daddy/daughter bondage rough(but consensual) sex story. The reader commented "Reminded me of how I started with my daughter, she fought it hard at first but then gave in."

That gave me one of those moments of "should I be writing this stuff?" It was the last of that type of story I wrote.

Try writing a Star Wars fanfic and having a fan ask you if a Jedi will end up with a Dark Side Inquisitor.

Yes. I’ve been asked that. Thankfully it wasn’t on Lit.

I think it sort of goes with the territory. I mean you play with chihuahua's, you're going to get bit, right?

On the flip side, I get comments and emails that truly move me. Most of my stuff is in CD/Trans, and I have a contract with my readers that I only do happy endings.
The comments and messages I get that tell me I helped them deal with an issue, or inspired them to keep going are priceless.

Just make sure you define happy endings appropriately. You can either please the fans of the heroes or the villains. Not both.

I got several comments (both positive and negative) about my lone incest story here. Some told me what should happen next, and one private message through the system to my email asked, "So this auto-biographic, right? You and your adopted dad, right? Come on, tell me I'm right so I can jack off again to the thought of it."

Didn't answer it. But no, no, and no it wasn't about me.

understood. My happy endings usually fit into two categories. Either, "I need a shower," or "happily ever after." I'm a sap and a softie, what can I say.

OK. I said I'd be delighted to get any of OP's examples. But this one, no. Definitely not.

I have had some where an anonymous commenter almost seems to be using the feedback field as a means to post their own "story", perhaps too worried or uncomfortable to open an account and post properly.

Yes, I think those kinds of comments come with the territory. They get the generic "Thanks for the feedback, glad you liked the story".

Yeah, occasionally. There are also the ones that go like this:

- Oh, what a nice comment to get on my story!
- I'm just going to click on their profile to learn a little bit more about this person who obviously has great taste in stories!
- oh no. Oh no no no no no.
- eye bleach

"Almost" is being generous there.

There's a couple posters in LW that are known for insanely long rambling-and often lecturing-comments. One is 'Anubelore' and he left a comment on one of my stories so long I copied it and pasted it into word to get a count and it was close to 1300 words.

These people could easily enter the 750 story contests.

The longest I've ever had was in I/T, and ran for a little over 700 words, and I thought that was long!

Those are some of the few comments that I delete with extreme prejudice.

The one story I published under this user name contains a paragraph where the MC has a depressive bout and simply stops all sexual activity for a few weeks. Somehow, for some reason, that prompted a user to PM me a rather detailed (and graphical) schedule of his AND his brother's nocturnal emissions, to point out how it's physically impossible for a healthy male to not ejaculate for more than a few days and complain about that "plot hole" in my story.

I couldn't help but suggest he and his brother get some blood work done and simply decided to delete all further messages from that user without reading them.

So, I wrote a lot of incest porn.

I got a lot of emails and story comments about how a given scene or story reminded them of the things they used to do with their mothers or sons or sisters or...you get it.

I'm really curious, though. Is it a turn-on to confide a personal sex fantasy as if it really happened to you? Not boasting about some perverse adventure to friends - because I'm betting that these are not the kinds of things that you claim to have done when you're having a beer with your buddies - but telling them to someone who you think will be engaged by it because they make up such stories also?

Ew. Some readers take this stuff REALLY personally.

This one reminded me - BrokenSpokes posted a series where the protagonist is an alcoholic. The early chapters keep this low-key, just showing how booze is part of her routine without really commenting on it. Then it escalates, showing how every time something goes wrong for her she reaches for a drink, how she has drunken bathroom sex with somebody she doesn't want to see when she's sober, working up to the point where she crashes her grandma's car while driving drunk and very narrowly escapes a DUI that would've cost her job.

The parts where she finally acknowledges she has a problem and goes into rehab drew a couple of outraged comments:

I strongly disapprove of your sudden portrayal of Viv as an alcoholic. Up till now she has been a social drinker drinking with her friends. Perfectly normal. Perfectly natural. The second to most intimate thing we as humans can do is to share a drink and a meal together. Just in case some people do not already know this, the most intimate thing we humans do is to make love.

Now she is coerced by these know it all seen it all before well meaning counsellors. She is labelled and pigeonholed to conform to their own failures.

The previous chapters of this story do not support this action.

My hope until I read the last page was that this newly revealed, yet medically undiagnosable disease, is not where this journey was meant to take us. So disappointing.

Based on your story, this girl did not have a drinking problem till she met a group of people who convinced her she did. Sucks to be Viv, I spose.

One of them was 1315 words long! Not all of it was about alcoholism, but that was a big part of it:

The alcoholics ”establishment” is SO determined that every one who takes a drink is an alcoholic. It’s truly sad, and not at all like every lesbian says every female is a lesbian. The addiction establishment is a BUSINESS now. They NEED people to be addicts for their rehab facilities and to justify their sad little lives whining about all the previous mistakes. And turning Viv into a paper alcoholic is the lowest of low writing. Humans have spent the last ten thousand years in a love/hate/need relationship with alcohol. But the fact is, without alcohol not one of us would be alive today to be reading this story. Up until the 20th century alcohol was the ONLY anti-septic we had. All those alcoholic drinks over the last ten centuries kept us alive by controlling all the germs we didn’t even know existed. It’s pretty small minded to denigrate the substance that has allowed us to survive to this point. How very prohibition of you.

But I’m very disappointed this story descended into such triteness. It’s very clear that you have a bug about someone you think should have controlled their alcohol intake. But to go all conservative (like maybe … religion about homosexuality?), condemn characters for things that everyone in society has mostly learned to deal with over the last ten thousand years just because you personally have an issue with someone from your past.

Hard not to read those as "but if Viv's an alcoholic, that would make me an alcoholic too, and that's unthinkable!"

I get them occasionally, usually in to form of "Nice story, but...and then an explanation of why this character wouldn't do this or wouldn't do that, or that my plot would never happen in real life. I've also gotten one of two from readers who volunteer to share their personal stories with me. Sometimes there's a bit of useful information in those comments.

I've always viewed that as people having an exhibitionist thrill writing their fantasies in the comments. Like they're living vicariously through it. It's an outlet for them. I don't mind it.

I haven't delved too much into the I/T world - read a bit here and there, never wrote any. But I wonder if the comments about personal stories - at least in part - come from the same impulse as writing and reading these stories in the first place. I'm probably being naive, but I'd like to imagine that this commenter is indulging a fantasy, stepping into the role of someone who's actually acted on these taboos, because maybe they find it thrilling to do so.

That's what I've always assumed.

I've had more than one guy tell me that he jerked off to my story.

"Okay sir. Cool. Have fun."

The worst thing for me is when readers imply that the think of me, the author, while they read.

I don't like that. And the fact that I have a photo of my face as my pfp makes it more disturbing. I mean, yeah. It isn't a crystal clear photograph, but that is me, and I didn't put it up there as wank fodder. 😒

I don't write self-insert characters, and almost all of my stories would be nightmare fuel in real life.

Thank God... SERIOUSLY, THANK GOD I've never had anyone tell me about a real life experience they've had that were similar my story. Mostly that's because my stories are absurd fantasy/sci-fi, I'm sure.

Still, if anyone ever messaged me and told me about the time they non-con'd someone, I'd probably consider never writing again (after I contacted the police).

Unfortunately that sort of goes hand in hand with the fact this is an erotica/porn site most people can be mature about it, but some just think if a woman is writing porn she's fair game for bad behavior.
