OH you love it! Besides, you get to find out tons of useless trivia. :D :rose:

HONEY: I have given you a whole week, which is like, 100 words a day, and less than some people post - lol. No excuses! ;)

So was I. I didn't realize we were the same age.

I have never been to New York. How in the heck do you research something like this?

No, I didn't, either.

I've watched enough Starskey and Hutch to get me by. ;) Oh, and Kojak. :D

As an apprentice pornographer, I naturally have questions.

"Voyeuristic" how? From a voyeur's POV?

Guess about what? Are we guessing who wrote each story?

If you want to make it really difficult, you should make the use of this phrase mandatory: "Wake up, sleepyhead." Because it's an outdoor setting.

ARGH! It's not a whole week!

Now, all I hear is Casey and the Sunshine Band in my head...

"Get down, get down, get down, get down tonite, baby...ooohoohhh!!"

I will try!! Don't hurt me if I don't....okay, hurt me, but be gentle.. :D

I have never in my life heard a bunch of authors whine so much! lol :

CM,

Rent:
Saturday Night Fever
The Pope Of Greenwich Village
Times Square
The Son of Sam
Studio 54

Or pick a day, find out the weather, pick a district, discover whats around, put in a couple of people having sex and voila! 700 words of 'vintage' porn. lol :rose:

Don't forget you have settings like Central park ( back of a carriage ride while you're the driver?) museums, theatres, the Village....lot's of book stores...the Empire state building...all pre-911 so security isn't much of an issue.

Go to Astor place for your haircut...it's fabulous!!!

Reagan's favourite food :D You republican! Which reminds me, I guess 1978 was one of the BILLY BEER years. ;)

Alright, I will post this now because I had time today, and just started doing research, and would not want to have an edge over anyone else. In the name of fair (I know people who usually participate are having computer difficulties this week) I give a week.

I was going to make this infinitely more difficult, but decided to take it easy on you this time. However, I do believe this topic will force, at least our resident horse, into a different pasture where he can experiment with his undiscovered, alternate voice. ;)

AND THE CHALLENGE IS:

Write a voyeuristic account of two people having sex in a public place circa 1978, New York City.

Those who do not meet the elements of the challenge will get a talk to from my Italian (ok, Amish, hardly intimidating) bodyguard, Abstruse.

Stories will be cut at 700 words. PM all responses to the challenge. Deadline for submission is Tuesday, March 29 at 7:00 pm EST, or Midnight GMT.

I will post a list of participants with decoys on that day, and give you a guess deadline at that time (which will depend on the number of participants).

Happy writing!
This sounds great but I don't qualify as I have no submitted stories yet. I've followed the past two challenges and they are exciting in themselves. I can't wait to see the replies to this one.

Oh, you qualify! In fact, word has it that Rebbecca Leah submitted her very first piece of writing during the last challenge. :D

You sound desperate and sad, maybe I will afterall that way if it sucks people can help me to grow with my writing.
I guess this means I have to do some research now.

LOL - I am never desperate, and rarely sad, just . . . pushy ;)

I've noticed this...are you a Jewish mother?

In a former life. As a matter of fact, it was a life in NYC, circa 1978 :D
