We're all guilty of it. How we recapture ourselves is unique to us all but the result is the same; to be completely present for those you care for, you must know and see yourself. What good is "dad, mom, husband or wife" if all you share is a shell of who you are? Your spouse/partner chose you to be theirs because of who they saw, not what they saw.

Well damn I might ask to join in with some of those shots.

Nothing wrong with just being okay at one’s job. Despite the hype exceptionalism is very unevenly rewarded anyway. And making friends easily is no mean skill, for sure be proud of that! Though I get the recharge phase super hard!

Also, sorry you’re reaping what you sow with the child 😉. From my experience it pays off though.

Bravo. You be you and your little one will learn to appreciate that. I was bullied like mad when I first moved to the US because of my accent and my weight. So bullies have a special place in my heart; to knock them off their high horse and into the manure where they belong.

Being people'd out is why I love my job. I see about 15 people a day and that's about all I can take. Then as the day wears on, they leave until it's just me and I slowly recharge.
 
Well, I try to apply the same level of attention to other things as I do to my own dick. Not the same kind of attention, mind you. But the same intensity of focus.

You too can have this kind of focus.

500 over almost eighteen and a half years.
I've had good years and bad years, partially due to motivation and inspiration.
The recent couple of hundred was inspired by someone who no longer is on Lit, but I do keep track of because we're good friends.
