Aw thank you all for the well wishes regarding my health! It's very much appreciated <3

I am much better today, well enough that I could spend a few hours running necessary errands. Sleep has been improving enough that I feel pretty confident about going to work on Sunday as usual *knock on wood*.

How is everybody doing tonight? Exciting weekend plans? I am getting the holiday baking schedule in order myself :D

Good morning beautiful, I’m glad to hear your bronchitis is going away and you are feeling better. Back to work on Sunday is a mixed blessing, glad you are feeling up to it.
Nothing exciting planned here, errands and holiday preparation although now when I’m doing that I’m going to have the image of you in my head, prancing around the kitchen doing your holiday baking in nothing but a lacy thong and an apron :D

Holy COW.

Get over bronchitis just in time for work to blow the fuck right up (I was the only supervisor on the team for more than 2 weeks that was speaking to all other members of the supervisory team, and all of them outrank me, yikes). And then just before new year my poor kitty ends up with a horrible infection that made us have to dash to the emergency Vet, and for the past week I've been working full time and running an intensive care unit for my kitty. Fortunately he is much better, but he's probably going to require (minor) surgery soon :/

I hope you all had a wonderful new year! :kiss:

May I ask what you’re writing? I have some projects myself, but work kicked my ass enough this week that I haven’t been able to really get motivated.

It's ridiculous and it's taken way too much time, but it's a piece of fanfic fluff/erotica based on Game of Thrones. It was supposed to be short but it has taken on a life of its own and is running away with me now, lol. 100+ pages and maybe a third done?

What is it you're working on? :)

There’s nothing wrong with fan fiction! I’ve dabbled in that myself. In fact, one of my projects is for a playmate of mine. We’re going to do a smutty cosplay scene, and I’m writing it out. It’s Ghostbusters.

I’m working on some pallet cleansing short stories; stories I write after a big project just to get the last of the random ideas that didn’t make it into the big thing I was writing out of my brain so they don’t drive me crazy.

The big project is something I’ve been working on for over a year. It’s being edited right now.

But it's been a great deal of fun and is one of the more involved stories I've written; longer, deeper plotlines, greater character development, overarching themes with several interwoven narratives.

It's not even been alpha-read at this point but if there's interest I can upload the first few chapters here for reading/feedback :)

Ghostbusters is an interesting world to explore! Is your piece heavy on the paranormal then?

Yes and no. Like I said, it’s for a scene I’m going to do with a play partner of mine. The basic gist is that Egon gets possessed by a spirit of hatred, and Janine has to fuck it out of him. More porn, less plot. But since it is for some role play, that’s all we need.

Stories can get away from you, can’t they? I have a long story that I’ve been working on since I was 19. I am now 41, so that should tell you something. Keep writing and enjoy the process, even if, ultimately, no one else sees it. It is still the fruits of your imagination.

I wouldn’t mind waking up next to you, that’s for sure! I was up at 5am on a Saturday, so I know how you feel. I seem to have lost the ability to sleep in.

Ugh it sucks! I mean I got plenty of rest despite waking up so bloody early, I just wish I could have gotten another hour or two. Yay adulthood :rolleyes:
