Would I get in trouble

Okay I'm 18 and in college. I turned 18 this year. A friend was over and we were kissing and I got her off by finger her once. That's all that happen. After it when I talked to her on the computer we both agree things have gone to far to fast. We didn't know each other long. Say three weeks. She is 16/junior and will be 17 in a two days I think, this year. We decide that it should happen again and I don't think were going to see each other again. How much trouble would I be. I'm in Pennslyvania if that helps with the law thing.

Uninformed opinions

Uninformed opinions:

a) Yes, I believe that would statutory rape
b) You have very poor grammer for a college student...

I agree, his grammar is piss-poor.

Been going out...say, three weeks?

You THINK her birthday's in two days?

Quality boyfriend material.

It depends...

Entirely on the state law for which one you're in. I really have no way of figuring out what the state laws are in PA. Well, I could probably figure, but that footwork would be up to you ;)

There's a few different laws that would come into play here. There's the law governing "Age of Consent". There's the law that decides what stat rape is. In some states, it's very black and white; if you are over 18 and she's under 18, watch out. Perhaps not trouble from the cops in most instances, but you'd better be careful what this girl/her parents are like. In that instance, even if she consented, her parents could still have charges pressed.

Some states have a bit of a slide rule on that one. Some states set up something like a '2 year boundary'. In this instance, it's all right to have sexual relations with someone under the age of 18, as long as she is within 2 years of your age. In this case, you would be legal by those guidelines, especially if the age of consent was 16 (which it is in many states).

Maybe find a fellow student in Pre-Law and ask them? No other ideas, unless you want to paw through lawbooks yourself or hit up a practicing lawyer for no charge ;)

I have no comments on the grammar issue :D

When I was sixteen I loved New Zealands 16 yr old age of consent. Now that I'm the father of three absolutely gorgeous girls I would like the age of consent raised to 35.

You are sooo Politically Correct, Mae... God love ya for it! I pondered for several minutes over whether or not to say anything... But it just suck in my craw so, that I had to mention it! I did clean up the comment though! You should've seen my first flaming << very unlike me >> response! :)
