Women want to be "liberated", but they still expect men to make the first move.

This idiot woman asks "so who's going to ask me?"

Has it ever occurred to her to ask herself, "so who am I going to ask out?"

Oh no, no way, she's a woman, asking out is a guy's duty. Just ask Lord Steve, Bronzeage or Badbabysitter.

Mila Kunis is Harper's Bazaar's April cover girl. (Terry Richardson/Harper's Bazaar)Mila Kunis is arguably one of the hottest actresses in the world, but that doesn't mean guys are banging on her door asking for a date. After ending an eight-year relationship with Macauley Culkin in 2010, the "Friends With Benefits" star has been unattached — not that she's complaining. "I honestly think being single's great," Kunis, 28, tells Harper's Bazaar in its April issue. But she's quick to add, "Being in a relationship's great [too]. It's all about the timing." But time is what she doesn't seem to have. The actress just wrapped a six-month shoot in Detroit filming "Oz the Great and Powerful" with James Franco and Michelle Williams (Kunis plays Theodora, the Wicked Witch of the West), and the time away really affected her dating life. "I don't get asked out," she says. "This past year, I haven't been home, so who's going to ask me?"

Until Mr. Right comes along, Kunis is content to hang out at home — by herself. "I prefer to stay home and have a nice little beverage and watch television," adds the actress, who works out with a trainer three days a week mostly so she can afford to eat and drink whatever she wants. "My glass of wine and I are besties." And she's not kidding. Just like with men, Kunis also has a hard time forging relationships with women. She admits she does not make friends easily. "It's hard to open up to people because often they're more curious than they actually care about you."

LT, if you like a girl just ask her out. She won't bite. I know it's scary but the more you do it the more confidence you'll have and you never know, one of them might say yes. Stranger things have happened.

Mad because women expect a man to have a pair of nuts?

So it's okay with you if women remain a bunch of scared shrinking violets while screaming for "Equality"?

lol because equal treatment under the law = courtship preferences:confused:

I'm the spineless one? lol I'm not the one bitching about having to go up and flirt with women LJ...most of us figured out how to do that in middle school.

Yup. Equality in courtship. I bet a self-hating spineless wimp slave like you is offended by the very concept.

You spineless little jellyfish. And a slave, too. You'll be happy to do all the work and let her sit there like a spoiled princess.

You go ahead and do all the work, spineless slave.

Yes...going and saying "Hi" is all the work and spoiling her like a princess...

You mean it's an affront to women for a woman to say hi first? Does that offend you somehow?

What's so bad about a woman getting off her lazy ass and approaching someone? Oh, I know, whenever I talk to spineless self-hating wimps like you, I need to set society's clock back by 100 years!

The fact is most women are too fragile to make the first move. They're cowards.

For a man to put out the effort to court one of these inferior creatures is to throw good money at bad goods.

oh lj, when will you grow up and get a job? when will you stop abusing drugs and living off real people, men honest men and women who pay taxes to support thugs like you?

how can any person quote that massively stupid fucktard bernie sanders?

The world is one hell of an interesting place because we are not all the same, have the same likes, needs and what have you. What about those of us women who are the complete opposite of the thread title?

Hell, I have -no- desire to be liberated. I would be ecstatic if the hands of time wound backward a couple hundred years. I am sooo freakin' tired of being put down by females, who are not like me, in this "liberated" society of ours just because I want to serve and please my man...

In the general public, heaven forbid I do something like drop a topic I was talking about because of a look he gives me. I've had some of those 'liberated' women, that we all supposedly are, walk up to me and start lecturing me about how I should not feel intimidated by him, how's he's just a bully, I can do better, and how I better drop him and move on with my life before I end up dead like those women you see on the news who allow chauvinistic male pigs like that to walk all over them.

One such time I kept my face was blank the entire time a "liberated" female was on her rant. When she shut up I asked her if she was finished. Then you should have seen how quickly the blood drained from her face as I explained to her that the collar around my neck mean that he owned me, that I was his possession to do with as he pleased; at which point she went to say something but I cut her off and simply said, I am his slave of my own free will because serving him is what makes me more happy than you will ever be in your life. And then he took ahold of my elbow and we walked away...

So while all of us females here within the states may be legally liberated by law, does not mean that we are or want to be liberated within our minds.

As far as making the first move. I've done that quite a bunch thanks. Do I like it? Nope. But I'm a happy, bubbly girl who's not bad looking and not afraid to put someone in their place if they disrespect me. So, that equals not too many people approaching me while I'm out.

hmm well

this is awkward.

never have i agreed with someone more in intent and less in particular

Well, you are a smarter and more resourceful woman than Mila Kunis!

Sadly, LeJerkdoesn't realize how is disrespecting himself by bashing women.
Are there women who take advantage of men? Certainly.
Are there men who do likewise? Yes.

Does that lump everyone unto one pot? Nope.
He has an excuse now for a pathetic life.

Just an observation from one of those oh-so-fragile cowards you speak of... But I'm thinking gender isn't the issue about women not approaching you, but more than likely it's your attitude? Personality? Lack of charm/intelligence/common sense?

Or quite possibly all of the above.

We're not cowards, we're just not idiots.

Just as a sidenote - I've approached guys before; it's not a big deal. But also in my experience, I've found that some guys don't actually like being hit on by women as they view it as intimidating or what not, and they actually quite enjoy being the ones to approach the girls.

Moral of the story - Everyone is different!

OHHHHHHHH!!!! BURN!!!!

Asking men out is for the ugly and or fat. Unless the guy is at least a dozen years younger than me, no way.

Judging by your attitude it looks like Lady Funkenstein's shallow little "theory" applies perfectly to you. You may not be fat or ugly but you sure as hell are downright ghoulish on the inside.

Your problem is not that some guys don't like to be hit on, as you claim - the problem is they don't want to be hit on by you.

Oh, and um, Frizzle Fry, you might want to get this woman a torch, as she'll need a little thawing-out now. :)
