Well Ok Top Gun being a movie doesn't really fit terribly much with the rest but still related. All of them are seen by millions and changed the trend seen in the US or the world. World in Pepsi's case. TV and film are powerful mediums to change perception. In Tila's case it helps she is gorgeous and has a body to die for, but do you really think her show and the number of homosexual ladies did not help?

Think about it this way, most people you say gay and they instantly think of the Village People. They think of weird people they can't stand and they don't like thinking of that so they are against anything that says gay. Shot of Love has this gorgeous gal and a bunch of guys and other gorgeous gals vying for her attention, they took gay and turned into gorgeous ladies, not village people.

Why should I care?

She is in a stupid, senseless "reality" TV show, that is like 20 other stupid, senseless "reality" TV shows.

They are not reality, they are somewhat scripted, poorly plotted, and have to find hot bodied people to get anyone to watch them at all. The people on these shows KNOW they have to argue in front of the camera so they can get face time on TV. All of these shows, Favur of Love, the one with the guy from Poison, the Bachelor, the Bachelorette, they all film these folks for a WEEK, and can barely fill a 1 hr time slot with anything meaningful. And this is withe everyone knowing the camers is rolling in the background.

And then they have some silly little contest, and someone gets voted off. The Flintstones had a better plot line than these shows do. Heck SPONGEBOB has a better plot line.
