IF you want to be a CEO, or at the top of any profession, you have to make that profession your life because you will be competing against those who are willing to make that sacrifice to get it.

If you want kids AND also be a corporate executive, lead homicide detective, astronaut, lead surgeon at the Mayo Clinic, the king of Wall St. etc. you need a partner to shoulder that for you because the 70+ hour work weeks you're going to be grinding for the next 10+ years, 100% dedicated and married to the game, aren't compatible with being a parent. You simply can't be top dog AND be fuckin' with a diaper filling nose miner at the same time. You either pay for childcare or you have a partner/spouse who takes care of that for you.... or you don't have kids.

Recreational sex isn't, I would even dare to argue it might be almost required (depending on the personality, of course). No contraception has 100% guaranteed effectiveness, even not talking about accidents happening. So there's a technically unavoidable risk of necessity for abortion, and ban of that can become sentence worse than death. You can argue so can a slew of other medical emergencies, but unlike those this is easy correctable without much consequence if done right.

Great. I totally understand and acknowledge your point of view and opinion here as rational and valid.

I myself am pro-choice for different reasons. IDGAF about the social engineering aspects of it. I simply don't think it's any of the federal governments fuckin' business, they need to take their 7% sales tax and go fly their F-22's and maintain/build infrastructure.

HOWEVER, again others view things differently. And given democracy, society and rule of law are still (mostly) things, certain cultures, regions, states and indeed nations around the world are going to do things differently. Texas for example, I do not agree with their latest abortion policy. I do however unapologetically support their right to be a state, govern itself and have it's democracy. If that's how the people of that state want to live? That's their business.

I believe that if we are to stay a union of states, we have to start respecting the individual states right to govern how their democracy sees fit a bit more than we currently are. 1 size fits all social policies forced federally is causing serious problems and the more the feds meddle higher tensions and polarization in the USA get. SCOTUS in my opinion was correct, abortion is a state issue, not federal.

I think a whole lot of other hot button social policy issues should be sent back to the states too, including a number of civil rights. California needs to be the most "progressive" and "woke" state ever. Ban all the guns, censor all the "hate" speech, have that no ID needed universal HC system all paid for by taxing the ever living shit out of Californians. DO IT!

Alaska, Montana, Wyoming and New Hampshire want to keep on with their libertarianish style of governance? Awesome.

Utah and B'ama go deeply religious conservative states?? Cool.

And on and on.

Everyone needs a place to live. One of my favorite and most BEAUTIFUL things about the USA imo is that if you don't like your state? You can pack your shit and leave to a state more to your liking, more progressive, moderate, liberal, libertarian or religious conservative, whatever you want we have 50 states running the spectrum and you can move to any that you like pretty much hassle free as far as the government is concerned.
