NaNoWriMo

I saw a movie about a gun that went from person to person by accident, tying up a lot of individual stories in a perfect way.

Another interesting plot, similar, is " Crash".

I want to change my title-- how the heck do I do it?

oh yeah, and my genre

Nevermind, I figured it out. I was trying to change my profile and all I had to do was click on "my novel"

I had all ready planned what I thought I was gonna write, but this other story has been forming in my head from an idea I had not to long ago, but that wasn't fully formed, along with another idea that's recently for whatever reason pushed it's way into my head. So the story I am now writing will be Erotic Dark Fantasy but w/ serious social issues involved. I just hope like hell I can pull it off! Oh yeah, and I'm reading "The Keep" by Jenifer Eagan, and her method of using parallel stories sort of took me over, although I am usually not the biggest fan, I think I have a story to tell that will work out that way!

But man, I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew!!!!

What is the word per day amount suggested- something like 2,000 or something?

What's the most words you've (whoever wants to answer this) written a day? What's the most you feel you could write EVERY day?

It averages to about 2,000 a day, a little less. Last year I did this for a few days, missed one day and then everything went haywire and I was trying to play catch up and then I missed another day -- Damn life events and then I gave up...at 17k. Hopefully that doesn't happen again this year. Just to be on the safe side I'm going to try for about 3-4,000 a day just in case I end up missing a day.

When you've written 21.800 words by November 27th... that's when you learn the true meaning of concepts such as "stress" and "writer's block"...

Thank you. :)

In all honesty, I must confess that I didn't come up with them myself, I found them online and merely fixed them look-wise.

SOmeone, in the not too distant past did a really cool pdf of character notes and stuff. DOes anyone know where that post is, waht it was called, who did and where another copy can be found?

I'm not so eager to do NaNoWriMo this year but that character thing has my database wheels turning.

I haven't turned it into pdf, but mine works for me... The link is on a previous page in this thread.

Just found! it... You are a genius Svenska!

Ok... now if I know whom to give half the credit for if I can make this an actual application that can work right.

And yes, I have asked for permission! I haven't received an answer yet, but if it's no, then I'll edit away my page, and you can use the page above instead.

Well I am basing mine of yours, cause I like you better.

I was only going to make it available to fellow AH'ers and extended friends, and instead of charge money, accept sexual favors in return.

Now I just hope that really hot red head in the nissan commercials or that stunningly beautiful brunette in the oil of olay "lying" commercials are secretly an AH'ers planning to do NiNoWriMo :D

Perhaps we could create a special character chart for Lit stories?

Sexuality
Is the hero/heroïne straight/gay/lesbian/bi/trisexual?
Is the hero/ heroïne virgin/experienced/slutty/professional hooker?
How does s/he feel about
...oral sex?
...anal sex?
...BDSM?

...etc

I'm not going to fill mine out, because for me, filling it out would take the place of writing, however, I am going to keep it and refer to it when I am feeling blocked or when I want to focus on character developement-- it helps you to think of things that you might not have other wise. then, if you are wise, you fill it out so you can keep track of the gist of things:)

lol, this is funny though:)

good idea.

Attention:

I received answer to my e-mail to the person who made the character chart, Rebecca Sinclair, and she asked me to be polite and redirect my page so it would point to hers instead, since she's the creator of the charts and deserves credit for it.

I have done so, and I want to point out to everyone that the charts I'm so fond of, and which I have encouraged everyone to use, is NOT made by me - I hope I have never written anything to make people think that I made them up myself? - but by Rebecca Sinclair.

She's done a great job and deserves credit for it.

So, once again... Rebecca's Character Chart .

Sign ups have started now for NaNo.

Signed up a couple weeks ago :)

Mal & I will be attending our local "write-ins" about once a week. Heck, the Florida Writers Conference is in the middle of the month, and our local NaNoWriMo rep will be speaking at it.

Last year I did this and easily finished the 50,000 words in November, but the story was nothing close to finished.... I finally hit writer's block on the story in April at about 200,000 words. (AAAGH, the BRICK THAT WON"T END)

This year I plan to finish what ever story I start IN NOVEMBER and be between 60-90,000 words. Actually, I already know what I'll be writing... a Modern-Fantasy called "DragonLines" with gay main characters :)

I'm asking this a little early but I need to know this:

If an 18 year old drops out of high school (senior year, obviously), would the truancy officer try to do anything about it?

I don't know about other states, but I believe in Kentucky the answer would be no. Compulsory attendance is 6 to 16.

Thanks. :) I was beginning to think no one was going to answer.
