I'm curious.
Plus, I just read something that says families are shrinking in numbers (as in less kids), the average home is much larger than it used to be, plus those kids are staying home longer.
It got me thinking - I have 3 kids, but only two of them still live at home. No1son is nearly 20 and has no plans to move out in the near future, and the kidlet is 15.
So here, there are 4 people in a 5 bedroom home.

Also, oops on the typo in the title.
I have one arm in a sling, and a bloody great bandage on the other thumb.

I think the nineties was the only decade that the families got smaller and the houses got bigger.

I think so. The 40's and 50's saw homes get bigger but family size went along with it if I remember right.

We have a four bedroom, three bath with informal and formal areas.

We were seven but our older children are grown and gone.

So we are down to three.

We need to downgrade.

They were big, and the craftmanship was much better.
But you should've seen the tiny four bedroom I grew up in, and had to share with 8 other Irish Catholics.

Four people here, though one of these days the kids (23 and 19, both in college) had better move out! :)

We live in Mormonland so we're viewed as chronic underachievers. My innards beg to differ. Judging from those stupid "we spawned these stickers" stickers on large SUV's and minivans around here (aka Mormon Assault Vehicles), the average family around here is about 7-10.
