That’s my view too, really. And though there’re no teenagers here, it’s exactly why I start squirming every time people completely unify around the defense of porn. I imagine a guy reading who’s got himself cornered into porn loneliness or a woman reading who’s being treated like shit and not realizing she’s not supposed to be, and all they can see is everyone agreeing porn is the bestest thing in universe. It’s probably self-important to think it matters whether I say anything, and it’s got me mistaken for a religious rightie on occasion, but sometimes I get the urge to inject a bit of dissension.

Well, I'm still technically a teenager at 19. I did learn a lot of things that I had to unlearn by watching porn. My parents tried to be good at keeping me educated, but my mom is a bit old-fashioned. She grimaced when she told me what oral sex was. At the time, I grimaced too (hey, when you're eleven, putting a dick in your mouth sounds disgusting and unhygenic) but it got to the point where I would understand dirty jokes better than her. So I had to let the internet (and my more-promiscuous friends) be my guide.

Porn is covered under freedom of speech as long as all actors are over 18 and all sites have the next to useless "don't enter if you're not 18" warning its legal.

Even sites like Bound gang bangs and whipped ass which portray rape like fantasies cover their asses by having the "victim" interviewed before the movie saying its their fantasy and then again afterwards saying how much they enjoyed the acting out of it.

The shit is legal, people can get over it.

So they try to target something like porn and look like they care. What they're really doing is dictating what you can and cannot have the right to watch.

Censorship. The first step to censorship is to try to get rid of something they don't think they will get a fight over.

For the most part porn is a fun form of escapism for people. They want you to think its only sickos and guys in trench coats watching porn, or child molestors or rapists.

They want you to think any woman who watches it suddenly turns into some one who wants to be used and abused.

What they don't want to acknowledge is that many watching porn are couples. watching and enjoying together or just people looking for some help with a "healthy release) or will masturbation be next on the GOP's list?

Like anything else porn can affect some people in a negative manner, but most people watching it are just having fun with it.

The republicans need to realize that family values come from the home not the government.

They should also know this never gets them anywhere except laughed at, and they don;t need any help with that these days.

They make me ill, everyone of them.

Know why? Because they have forced me to concede to the fact I will vote for Obama.

I was still fighting it, until Ryan fresh on the heels of being elected as the VP candidate started talking about how rape victims should carry the baby of their attacker and not get abortions.
