Yeah, I should have thought that one out.So, this recall to mind the robotic tail engineered by the Japanese I posted about a while back.
The idea of pairing it with A.I. means I may not be sleeping tonight.![]()

Totally agree! "We ride at dawn!" seems to be a far smarter option. Also, why do vampire movies always have this point in time where, all of a sudden, the hero (or whoever) decides they must charge in - at that exact moment - and eradicate the vampire/s, and that exact moment is always:
"It will be dark soon,".
I mean, it's practically a prerequisite for a vampire movie.
Does it not occur to anyone that it would be just a smidge smarter to, idk, wait for morning?
But noooooo, it must happen right now, at this very mote in the time continuum.
Let's just abandon all logic here, people!!!

I do all right with scrabble - but…So, I have a reasonable - if someone archaic - vocabulary.
Yet, I am terrible at crosswords. I mean, like truly terrible.
Scrabble, too, come to think of it.![]()
You will. I find I have to switch up brain games after a few months - I did sudoku, then crosswords, unscramble, and back to a sudoku game. Because my brain learns the patterns and starts remembering common words in crosswords and they get easier.I really do not know why I suck at either of these endeavors.
Anyhoo. This bothers me. I have purchased one of those ginormous crossword puzzle books that start easy and increase in difficulty.
Maybe I'll bloom some new neural pathways.
Do a crossword a day for six months. You’ll see.I mean, in reality, probably not, but -![]()

My biggest problem with crosswords is that my spelling is horrible. So even if I get the right word, if I spell it wrong the words it intersects with do not make sense. Also thinking a noun is meant as a verb. or visa versaSo, I have a reasonable - if someone archaic - vocabulary.

My spelling is pretty solid. I'm not really sure what my issue is. It may be a difficulty with lateral thinking. I do tend to be so literal. My biggest problem with crosswords is that my spelling is horrible. So even if I get the right word, if I spell it wrong the words it intersects with do not make sense. First, I had to look up dross, I thought that was a typo. What's with the Wow face, @hotwords229_A?
I would have thought you'd be the first to agree there is a lot of dross in film!
Oops! Autocorrect.First, I had to look up dross, I thought that was a typo.
Second, I found your point to be a little confusing—you are surprised at the amount of crap films and the even greater number of people who complain about them?
Or am I reading that wrong?![]()
So you’re surprised by the number of people defending said terrible movies?Oops! Autocorrect.
Should have been remunerated!![]()
No! I'm not surprised by the number of subpar offerings. I am surprised by the number of people who get pissy about not being appreciated, or about people not buying, the subpar work they themselves produce. So you’re surprised by the number of people defending said terrible movies?
On this I agree, I suppose, I don’t really think about it too much.![]()
I think this might be the only approach that would work for me watching a horror movie on my own.I am currently watching Underwater (2020).
Scifi adventure horror. It's one of those movies that must be watched in short little increments, interspersed with doing other things. Because it's way too intense for me to watch through. Way.
I feel this is perfectly reasonable approach to horror consumption.![]()
