The metal ones look great but getting them on and off is painful, if they are tight enough to work I can't get the junk through, if they are big enough to put on they don't work

Agreed. For me, the metal ones are for day to day wear and more like cock jewelry. The stretchable silicone type would help maintain erections more effectively.

I have never had the problem of a cock ring slipping off. There is no way if it is placed behind the balls. If it's just around the base of the shaft then it will slip loose when flaccid.
