LOL, hey you were warned about my av's. I'm always changing them, but I like my present one so it may be up for awhile!

I like the current one. Not only are you tempting Adam, but you're also tempting the rest of us as well :D

Amazing...I just heard that the Japanese government will NOT be sending a delegation to Washington, DC, for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival--concerns about their safety due to the impending war (although Japan's economic situation apparently also played a role in that decision). What is the world coming to?

Sadness. When is the CB festival this year?

Only four days until I go on holiday to hong kong...woo hoo!

Cool, AFM. Do you go back often? Will you stay HK side, or Kowloon? There are some cool internet cafes in Causeway Bay (lemme see if I can remember...Causeway Bay is Tung Lo Wan?).

Wave as your plane passes over my apartment. :)

I go back every couple of years if I can....I have to go back every three years to make sure my ID card is valid!

I'm staying in HK side, near Central with my brother....I'll remember to wave :)

It'll be warm now. I liked Dec-Jan best. Will you please ride the Star Ferry for me? Or ride it for yourself, but take mental notes and tell me what it was like for you.

I believe it starts in just over a week...with the actual parade following at the start of April. But apparently the blossoms themselves will also be a no-show, due to the harsh winter.:(

Roman

Hey, AFM, enjoy the vacation!

I wonder if the blossoms will eventually show, just not at their usual time. Or will the trees be barren of flowers this year?

RH, is the left figure in your AV you?

;)

So many questions...I have one for you:

ARE YOU ALWAYS LOGGED ON HERE?

Not suggesting that you don't have a life or anything...;)

Roman

PS--what makes you think that the LEFT part of the pic is me?

K...I won't ask anymore questions. *pout*

Yes, I am ALWAYS logged on here. I have my computer attached to my hip. ;)

I figured if I asked about the left side, you wouldn't hit me over the head with the thing posted on the right side. :D

Aww, don't take it that way! And don't worry--the one on the right side is well-guarded these days and not likely available for use as a bludgeon.

What a fun thread

so us Chinese speaking expat gweilo types with Chinese wifes are welcome here??? dayumm... you may me homesick for Hong Kong...

AFM, go to Tong Lo Wan and have some Chiu Chow Yu Dan Meen for me will ya?? there is/was a great place on a small alley called Jardine's Bazaar, near the MRT station.

Have a great trip. I really should head south and visit all my old friends there, has been almost 2 years now since I last went to HK.

In 12 years in Hong Kong from 79 to 83 and from 85 to 92, we (Gusty Wind and I) lived in Stanley, Jardines Lookout, McDonnald Rd, Tai Hang Rd, and near Electric Road in Causeway Bay... but I have always considered myself a CWB person, as I used to work there and lived there so many years.

I have been thinking a lot of place we used to go skinny dipping on Lantau Island with waterfalls and pools and no people..... ahhh memories.... actually I think one of Gusty's av's was taken at that sight.

AFM, Gusty is also half Hakka and half Hokkien... cool huh? and our kids are very much double culture kids.

RomanHans, you really should check out SexyWench's wonderful thread in Amateur pics, called Legs....

There have been other Asians on Am Pics from time to time TrueGeisha from Montreal is Vietnamese Chinese, and Dessert is student from Hong Kong in Canada. And I don't know if Jade is still around and posting, but she is another Canadian Chinese. There is also a Malaysian couple that have posted pics every 6 months or so under the name of ChineseWife. Finally, LovePotion69 is half thai, half swedish.

And of course there is Gusty whom Mercy and AFM and SW already know so well.

Sorry for the long post, but I have really enjoyed reading the thread, and would love to keep connected with Asians on Lit.

thanks for the warm welcome Mercy. It's funny, but those were the only years we didn't live in Asia. It would be fun to find other folks in China on Lit, but maybe that is too close to home.

I will certainly drop in to chat from time to time........ but have to go now and make some new av's for Gusty;) BTW, we both love your av.

I swapped a few pm's before with Jade, but she ignored me after a while so I was heartbroken. Musta been the smell :D

Let's hope this thread and the asian community here keeps growing and growing :)

heyyyy :D:D.. NO worried... they are lots of fishes in the pond.

hehehee... muah:heart:

Well, now I'm humbled, amongst all of these folks with multi-thousand posts to their credit...and me, just a lonely happa feeling out of place in DC (where if not for the cherry blossoms, you would think that Japan did not exist)...

At least we finally had a taste of spring--weather around 70F...now if only those blossoms would cooperate!
