Had Trump won a second term the extreme sanctions on Iran would have continued. Perhaps would have resulted in the collapse of the regime itself. It only stands to reason that if Iran did not have access to cash to fund these terrorist groups maybe this event doesn’t happen. That by itself changes the dynamics. I believe with Trump at the helm maybe Putin doesn’t invade Ukraine and maybe the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which I strongly disagreed with, would have been much less chaotic and would have happened in concert with our allies. I believe with Trump at the helm peace holds in the Middle East. Biden’s Middle East policies are a total failure.

Biden has not lifted any sanctions on Iran, and has actually imposed new ones.

Maybe a lot of things but there is no real reason to think Putin does anything differently. Iran having money, money it doesn't even have right now has nothing to do with this attack. This was well coordinated to a degree that tells us this had been planned, information gathering and training somewhere for months if not years.
