Biden’s mid-east foreign policy a total disaster, Israel at war

Yep....it did not make the peace.
Biden’s handling of Iran disrupted any peace initiative. In 2020 Iran’s economy was near collapse because of Trump sanctions. Biden allowed a resurgence of Iran’s economic growth by easing sanctions especially in oil markets filling Iran’s coffers. Biden calling SA a pariah state doesn’t exactly give SA a warm fuzzy feeling towards the US on security issues or the Abraham accords. Follow the money, start with China and India purchasing oil from Iran as fast as Iran could pull it out of the ground, 6 billion for a prisoner swap was outright stupidity on steroids. Biden’s back door deals with Iran for the sake of saving the Obama/Iran JCPOA. Biden talked about furthering the accords but acted with indifference. I believe Biden’s immigration policy has enhanced the possibility of terrorist sleeper cells which could come out of hiding should we be forced to take military action against Iran.

In an apartheid state anybody over the voting age is officially no longer innocent and it sucks to be the kids but that's true of every war. I always love how the party that claims to love the military (They do not, they love the pagentry) and demand keeping guns encase exactly what's happening to the Palestinans is something they would just lay down and take.

There was no peace initiative in place. Hamas has never stopped attacking Israel and Israel ramped up settlements in the Gaza strip.

Problem being all of history especially recent stuff tells us that Iran collapsing would be just one more fucking headache. Sanctions mostly affect the average man. Starving North Korea hasn't really done us any good. The only thing we really accomplished in Afghanistan was create a government that couldn't control its own territory worth a damn. Taking out Saddam just resulted in more terrorism. Ghaddffi's death didn't seem to really improve anything either.

Biden doesn't have open borders but even if he did if terrorists were trying to hurt Americns we'd know by being hurt. The "open border" has absolutely no bearing on that one way or the other.

You're really still on that 6 billion for food and medicine? Really, that's something that concerns you at all?

Biden should clearly have taken more money from Saudi and sold them more information, told Israel that there was no chance of the Embassy being anywhere else but Jerusalem; that would told the Palestinians who was in charge.

More hardware for the Israeli military and support for Jewish settlers to invade Palestinian farms. That would have done it.
Hamas and Hezbollah are terrorist groups now and always will be as long as Iran exists as an authoritarian religious extremist theocracy.

The Abraham Accords can’t be considered a peace initiative, more of a normalization of diplomatic relations and establishing trade cooperation.

Our state department says otherwise;

The Abraham Accords DeclarationWe, the undersigned, recognize the importance of maintaining and strengthening peace in the Middle East and around the world based on mutual understanding and coexistence, as well as respect for human dignity and freedom, including religious freedom.”

Because of course Trump doing that totally justifies Hamas killing innocent people.

You have a point Arpy, moving to Jerusalem, was kind of like throwing a molatov cocktail into a blazing bonfire. It doesn't really make the fire that much bigger.

But really wouldn't it have been better , assuming you want to put out the fire, to have thrown a couple boxes of baking soda instead?

I guess when the State Department attributes the Abraham Accord for maintaining and strengthening peace, we’ll, it has something to do with peace.

Recognizing peace is not the same as doing something for peace. Everyone who signed it was already participating in peace. There was absolutely no inclusion of Palestinians and no road map to do so.

It is also worth noting that the participants in the Abraham Accords were ALL repressive regimes that were looking for a public relations "win".

"Peace washing" would be a fitting description for the Abraham Accords.

And of course, graft was a key motivating factor for the corrupt Drumpf regime.

Ultimately, The Abraham Accords were never a serious peace initiative for the Middle East, because the major players weren’t really involved.

The Abraham Accords were basically a PR stunt. - Totally on brand with the Drumpf regime’s M.O. - Gauche style and graft over real substance and progress.

JFC

SAD!!!

Yup, all those Israeli deaths and those dangerous Hamas murderers.

Dam son, you managed to fuck up even something this simple.

Please note the dates at the bottom of your visual aid. After the UN partitioned the area and created Israel, there was no "Palestine" inside Israel's border. Thus, there wasn't any "seizure" going on.

And please note that it was HAMAS which launched the missile strike, not Israel. Nor had Israel done anything lately to "provoke" Hamas. The fact that Hamas and Palestinian fighters choose to die in great numbers is irrelevant to who fired the first shot. Hamas and Palestine are both lucky that Israel decided to limit their response, they legitimately could have leveled Gaza and force marched everyone out of their country.

The ONLY thing that's been happening in the Mid East is the peace talks and Abraham Accords with the Saudi's. That threatens Iran, who Biden gave $5 billion weeks before this attack.

And yet you still think that the aggressors are the victims.

The state of Israel was established as a Jewish homeland following the Holocaust. The territory was entirely within the historic country of Palestine, whose peoples did not take part in or support the Holocaust.

The peoples who lived there were ethnically cleansed, pushed out in the same way that indigenous Americans were displaced to make room for white European settlers.

The Palestinians have spent the intervening years saying, 'What did we do wrong? Why wasn't the Jewish homeland established in Austria?'

Trump loves the poorly educated.

I thought it was 100 billiion. No, six billion. Or Biden didn’t give Iran money, he issued a waiver for international banks to transfer $6 billion in frozen Iranian money from South Korea to Qatar. Would someone get it right for once? Really, you guys fudge figures worse than the Trump Corporation.

Let me explain something to you, all of those products are fungible.

In the 90's Clinton decided to give 'humanitarian aid' to the N. Koreans in the form of food (wheat). Freighters were docking at N. Korean ports, mostly Nampo, off-loading, only to have the wheat transferred to other freighters and N. Korea sold the wheat on the open market. I was in Japan at the time and the Japanese press were going bat-shit crazy over this, it was totally unreported in the US.

Times being what they are do think that, oh, maybe Russia would gladly trade Gold for medicine's?

Of course if the Biden administration would've initiated the Abraham Accords Laz would be atop the highest mountain top casting never ending platitudes on how Joe was a brilliant visionary.

Hypotheticals are fun. You're literally calling Laz a hypocrite based on something that will never happen.
