Country.

Specifically, Lee Greenwood’s “Proud to Be An American.” It’s so, so sappy, and it was played incessantly at military functions when I was in the Army.

What do you do to cool down on a hot day?

What do you do to cool down on a hot day?

Take my clothes off, turn on ceiling fans, and drink cold... water

What is your favorite month of the year, and why?

What is your favorite month of the year, and why?

November because it is usually not cold, cold, but still cool. It has the very best holiday.
People are not too stressed about Christmas and NYE yet, but happy thinking about the fun that could be had.

And pumpkin spiced stuff. I'm basic

What is the last thing you thought about before you fell asleep last night?

I have no idea. Hell, I don't remember what I thought about an hour ago.

What is your least favorite month and why?

What is your least favorite month and why?

July.

It is my nemesis month. A lot of life altering, painful, and generally no good things have happened to me in that month. I know it is just a month and a coincidence, but I dread the days of July.

How often do you go out on dates?

How often do you go out on dates?

You mean married couple date nights?
We don't call them that, just "going out".
2-3 times a week.

How often do you have people over for dinner a month?

I suppose however you want to qualify a "date". I think going out counts :)

Once, or twice. I am still relatively new here after moving 1500 miles a year and a half ago. There are some dates that end up at my place and we might decide to do something for dinner, but that is rarely a cooked dinner

Do you think your significant other would be upset if they knew you were on Lit?

Nope. I met him here and he’s still here.

Would you meet your SO on Lit?

Would you meet your SO on Lit?

I am not sure I can answer that.

I have met several people from Lit over the years and I am not opposed to the idea, but I am not really sure you can be a significant other without having met. <ponders>

Is there someone from Lit that you wish was your significant other?

I don’t know anyone from Lit well enough to make that wish. There are definitely people I like and people I lust after.

What do you consider to be the strangest thing you’ve ever done on Lit?

hmm.. I don't know that I've done anything strange.
I suppose some people might find this entire thing a little strange.

What is a phrase/word that is common where you live but might not be understood elsewhere?

‘Ope
😂

It’s a Midwest thing

Is there a certain smell or activity that always triggers a fond childhood memory for you? If so what is it?

lol.. I'm in the midwest. I have no idea what "ope" is!

Baking bread makes me think of my childhood.

What did you eat as a child that you no longer eat?

The same, though tilted a bit more toward the fantasy side.

What was the last book you read?

I'm partway through Educated: A Memoir. I recommend it. :)

Where will you escape to on your next day off?

By finding people who like and respect me. :)

Do you have a baseball team you follow?

Yes. Yes I do. I’m a Washington Nationals fan.

When was the last time you went to a sports game of some sort?

ETA: Arghhh I’m slow. Skip me
