i have 3 sons, from teen to late twenties, and none of them are overweight. the eldest has started developing a softer midline, it's true, but he's an adult making his own choices. the younger two are tall and on the skinny side. if they have money in their pockets, nine times out of ten they will choose to buy junk food rather than eat a full, healthy, home-cooked meal. my cooking isn't shit, either. it's just how most teens eat on the hoof when out with mates. my two eldest smoke - i never have. my youngest loves a dish of freshly steamed vegetables with a big blob of butter on. the other two rarely eat vegetables unless i've cooked and they're eating at mine.
it's all about individual choice at the end of the day. personally, i find junk food gives me indigestion and never tastes as good as it smells or looks.
