Best cover version of a song.............

great choice. I love his rendition of this song

Though there are betting songs on the album - Cash's cover of The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face makes me cry every. single. time. I listen to it. Sometimes I have to skip it because I can't be bothered crying. Again.

Ok going to see how this goes, music is a great way to meet people so here goes

Put the original artist the song and the artist covering it, like so

Kate Bush - Running up That Hill - Placebo
Simon & Garfunkle - Sounds of Silence - Disturbed

I dislike the Disturbed version so much ... it's really to try-hard in the 'we're really a very serious band making very serious music' way.

Willa Mae Thornton -- HOUND DOG -- Elvis Presley (Lieber & Stoller song)

Beatles -- HELTER SKELTER -- The Bobs (New Wave acapella)

Les Paul & Mary Ford -- HOW HIGH THE MOON -- Jeff Beck & Imelda May

Radiohead - Karma Police - Easy Star All-Stars (yes, it's reggae and it works beautifully)

I'm not saying that simon & garfunkle did a bad job, their song was and is amazing, I just think that disturbed's version had that bit of umf in some of the vocals where it was lacking

And for some local flavour- The Clouds version of Glen Campbell's Whichita Lineman. The two girls vocals in this are amazing.

Radiohead ~ Creep ~ Chrissy Hynde & Pretenders

Bob Dylan ~ Highway 61 ~ Johnny Winter

U2 ~ One ~ Johnny Cash
