Second, I have had a hood piercing, 2 labia piercings, and 2 nipple piercings. Sadly, due to some medical priorities, I've temporarily lost the labia and nipple piercings (hoping to get them back soon). Meanwhile, I love my hood piercing! It was minimally painful (similar to a regular ear piercing) and gives us both so much fun. It does require some good attention to cleanliness in the early weeks, but it also heals quickly. Do your salt water soaks and whatever soaping your piercer recommends. Otherwise, for at least the first month, leave it alone! I know (oh do I know) how tempting it is to play with it, invite your partner to enjoy it, etc, but seriously, unless cleaned and gloved, no touching!

From a mans point of view, why ? Don't do a thing or add anything to the beauty of the female form and in my experience just get in the way. I don't want to suck on a ring anywhere. I want the flesh. Barbells through a nipple are really, REALLY ignorant.
