Where are all the British guys n girls?!?!?

I was told by one of the park rangers they are pipistrel bats, very tiny and I think quite rare. On a summer evening there are hundreds flitting around, it is lovely.

Pipistrel bats sound so sweet, like they would be wearing cute little hats and be able to play a mean mandolin...

I saw a documentary on vampire bats quite recently in the Galapagos. They couldnt work out what they fed on, so the team captured and tagged one of the bats with a radio wave device. They tracked it down to the rocks in the night, and they were feeding off the elephant seals there, drawing blood near their tails which they couldn't do anything about as they are so immobile. Really interesting :)
