Woooohoooooo!!

I am so excited....I just got an offer for a job that is temp to perm..as in the director interviewing me wants the position to go permanent.

My days as a temp might be coming to a close, and in a good way!

It's close, its in my field, and it pays quite well....I might be able to get out of debt sometime in the next couple of years if all goes well.

*jumps up and down squealing with excitement*

Now if only my husband were in town I could celebrate...damn it, where's someone to tie you up and beat you when you need it?

No kidding....I went over to a friend's house to hang out, and we watched a movie so annoying and bad that frankly, it was almost like getting beaten, but just not fun!

Aack. Doggville.....avoid the movie like the plague. Its no coincidence that I came home and immediately started drinking.

Not the beginning of a new career. I've just been trying to find a good permanent spot for the last two years, and the only things I've been able to find have been long term temporary positions. I've been constantly working (except for 1 month in 2003 and 1.5 weeks in october of this year) but none of those have been permanent positions. For the loooongest time NOBODY was hiring anyone with my experience (I'm a chemist). I knew several other people in the same boat and we were all suffering.
