I have never built furniture before, so I have been trying to hone my furniture building skills. As practice I built a work bench mostly out of scrap pine I had laying around the garage. It would easily take every bit of abuse you can throw at it and the legs would serve as very secure points to affix ligatures should we ever get there. It has 4X4 posts for legs.
Problem is, the thing is massively overbuilt and weighs more than 100 pounds. Hardly something that could be moved into position when necessary.
After I was done, I changed some things on it and converted it to a potting bench for my daughter in law for her birthday present. I will try to get a pic of it to share.
Business then got really heavy since about November. I have been working around the clock. In fact, I am sitting at my office desk right now as I write this at 10:50 p.m. on a Sunday.
This project is still on my mind. I will get back to it eventually.
