You are in a public restroom and see a quarter laying in the toilet bowl. Would you fish it out?

I was talking to a friend today and he asked me this question. . .(apparently he had come across this situation) He also thought it might make a good Lit. topic.

My immediate response was "F*^k no! That's just too gross!" I was afraid to ask him what his answer would be.

How about if it were paper money. . .say a $20 bill. . .would that change your answer?? Or a nice diamond ring? Just what would it take to entice you to dive in??

Is the toilet clean? If so, then I guess I'd go in for anything over twenty bucks, just dry it out, cash it in at the gas station.

For a diamond ring? Hell yes!

Guess we all have our price. I might for $100 or for a diamond ring, but probably not for anything less. Even for the aforementioned, I'm so suspicious I would halfway expect it to be a counterfeit or a fake planted as a cruel joke.
