Why is LW category so hard to please?

I love writing for Loving Wives category! It's a hoot, and I'm fairly certain that's how I've gotten most of my followers.

Maybe I could write one from a lesbian couple’s point of view, or is that not something most would care to read. Or just maybe bury it in the lesbian category?

If it's a lesbian couple, with one cheating on the other, then as long as you focus on the emotional turmoil and downplay the lesbian connection, it would do almost as well as any other in the LW category.

I threw in an inter-racial trigger to a LW story, and it didn't get flamed by as many racists as I expected. So, IMO, the LW haters HATE cheating in a marriage more than they might hate other things.

I'd recommend you try it and post to LW.

To be fair, as a reader I didn't even realize the tags existed. I do not think I'm alone in that.

That said, I 100% agree with your conclusion.

I wasn’t aware of tags until after I had submitted several stories.

And on the devices I use the tags are at the end of the story, so I have to have read it before I can see what tags are used.

I think I accidentally wrote the LW story that all the regulars agree on.

So, this isn't so much a comment that made my day as a lack of comments; or rather, a lack of negative comments.

Yesterday, Xenia went up in Loving Wives for the Crime and Punishment event. It's received 96 comments that I can see, as well as another 10-15 estimated that haven't made it through moderation yet.

And of those, I have received exactly zero negative comments.

In Loving Wives.

I mean, there were a handful that were like, "I saw where this was going," but most of those also included stuff about "but I still enjoyed it, good writing, five stars." Or, "I don't like [plot element redacted], but I liked this. 4.5 stars." But no "I hate everything about this, you're a shit writer, etc."

The BTB folks like it. The RAAC folks like it. The "I'm just here for good stories" guys like it.

And no one, so far, hates it.

It's nice, but also kind of unsettling.

I finally finished reading "Xenia" (in Loving Wives), and although I don't much care for a BTB story, YOURs is PERFECT!

For any of you authors who avoid the LW category due to the trolls and for whatever reasons, if you are a fan of Edgar Allen Poe, Hitchcock, or "The Twight Light Zone", "Xenia" is for you!

I read, and sometimes depend on them. I can't believe some of them he weird choices authors make when deciding what to use. Things that no one would search for.

The problem many have is HOW a black character is presented. The BIg Black Cock is simply racist on the part of the author. Blacks are often aggressive ghetto rats, felons etc. Yeah there have been a couple stories where the woman accepted a gang-bang and one of the men happened to be black. But often the black man goes last because he will stretch out the woman too much for the other men to enjoy. Again a totally racist approach on the part of the author. (And of course the cheating woman loves the man's size and from then on wants more BBC).

I will say, from a UX perspective, expecting someone to click into a story and then click again to see something that will determine whether they eat to read the story or not is a bad design. Although it might increase views. (Or it might long term decrease them as people struggle more to find what they want.)

Well, the word tags, under the icon, would be a helpful addition. Not that some wouldn't be able to ignore that as well.

When I threw in that "BBC trope" into "His Vixen", I used the thug-gangsta persona to MAKE it racist. But the wife put down her "lover's" rant "Once you go Black, you'll never go back" with indifference.

In the wife's POV: "You're not my first Black guy," I admitted. "And I haven't gone back to any of the others. It takes a special kind of stupid for a woman to let a minor blip like one of these evenings, just a few hours, to threaten the longer work of their marriage. Sorry, hun. You might be great for some, but not for me. I've always learned; 'they're never as good as my husband.'"

So, it was her making the issue of race indifferent and her husband more important which I think made many readers give it a more positive star. I was experimenting to see how many can't get past the race issue. She was the truly "loving wife", and she and her husband were pushing and testing each other to prove it.

But there are those readers who still can't accept any extra-marital sex (or even that much inter-racial). And I appreciate that they have their own opinions.

I also use tags to let people know exactly what the story contains. But I have no obligation to write to please you or anyone else, so I will not deliver anything specifically for anyone.

Tain't my job to not trigger you! I've given the warnings. If you still insist on being triggered or insulted, that's on @Lifestyle66. If you're so fragile that you demand I not hurt your feelings, don't fucking read my work!

I love the LW category. The readers there treat everything as real. Most of the comments I get aren’t about the writing itself, but about the characters .. how much they hate one of them or how the guy was too weak or the woman was too cruel.
And yeah, I get 1 stars .. it doesn't bother me. I see a comment that says:

You have some serious problems with your stories.

I absolutely love that! It means they read it, and it moved them enough to react. That's all I want. I don't care about 5 stars I care about touching people.
