First off, nationally that's not true. Whites still the majority and certainly still the plurality. Plus, whites have more spending power than most other groups.

Clearly, its not about "selling products" to anyone.

Blacks, 13% of the population, and with less purchasing power than that are shown in nearly every ad, usually far in excess of 13%. Almost no ad would dare not to have at least two or three blacks.

So, how it is justifiable to have an ad with about 25 people and leave out one group so conspiciously? One group that happens to be the most demonized group among much of the pseudo-intellectual elites? Coincidence?

Ever since America was founded, they've been struggling to rise from the social devastation of racial and gender-based exclusion from the very country that was built on their backs, in chains, with their blood, denying them their histories, their languages, their financial/economic liberty, their personhoods and above all, their dignity.

Even after fighting in the many wars for this nation since this country's inception, they come back to face this senseless discrimination and prejudice born from ignorance, fear and colonial, generational hatred.

True story here and you might wanna grab a hanky...one of my bestest friends growing up was a White Male. Seriously, he was blonde, blue-eyed, slightly freckled, cherubic smile...not the image of America that is normally seen on iconic advertising of the past, present and future, but still, he was an American boy, just like me...only with a different melanin count...anyway...he lived next door with his pops, an unmarried White Male raising my friend as a single dad. But my parents eventually forbade me to play with him and I couldn't understand why. Tears fell hard that day for I had yet to understand the concepts of prejudice, biases and bigotry. Shortly after that he moved away, probably to some lower-class neighborhood where most of the single-parent family white males lived. I never heard from or about him again.

Someday, my pale skinned brother. Someday you will rise and sit at the table of American brotherhood with Blacks, Asians, Latinos, Indians and women as equals, not third-class citizens whose only value is also-ran comedic stereotypes in popular media using their social dysfunction as entertainment that generates millions of dollars for the national economy that the White Male community is never given control or dividends of.

It's gonna be a slow sea change, but I truly believe it will happen.

Someday, a white American male might even become president. Oh, I hope to live long enough to witness that historic moment.

The State of the African-American Consumer Report found that black buying power is projected to reach $1.1 trillion by 2015, The Louisiana Weekly reports.

The study, which focuses on black spending, media habits and consumer trends, reported an increase in the amount of blacks attending college or earning a degree to 44 percent for men and 53 percent for women. It also found an increase in the number of African American households earning $75,000 or higher by almost 64 percent.

"By sharing, for example, that African Americans over-index in several key areas, including television viewing and mobile phone usage," said Susan Whiting, vice chair of information and analytics company Nielsen. "We've provided a better picture of where the African American community can leverage that buying power to help their communities."
