Today (20-3-2002) makes me feel old

Debs, I can recall at the age of 8 or 9 seeing The Wombles stage show in the then brand new Christchurch Town Hall, your post brought back a very happy memory...thank you.

Innocence lost, or just forgotten..??

I loved the wombles and I was in my late twenties then. And, Draco 38 is in your prime, you lucky bastard. The thing I've learned about teens is that they really do know an awful lot more than I know at my age now, about loads of things. The most obvious is technology - it's as if they were born with it.
In terms of relating with each other they are so direct and less screwed up than I was (with all the catholic sex is a sin crap) and they see right through anyone who is false.

Mine are 14,14,15,20,21 . m,f,m,f,m.

A special thank you to Warmlips, your PM was most kind.
I tried to reply but your PM box is full. Once again, I try my best, but being a divorced dad with a bitch for an X-wife can be heartbreaking at time. Thank god for SweetCherry keeping me sane...muhahhahaha

Innocence is never lost or forgotten. :)
We just choose to move on to more adult
things.

Today

By Debbiexxx

"Today I am like a child;
Sometimes silly, giggly, sullen
Troublesome yet laughing,
Suddenly smiles and sunshine
Finding puddles, fun crayons
Plasticine and yukky fluff
Climbing high, high, no fears
Zooming all around, energy abound
Sliding on the slide, seesaw up, down

Tomorrow I may grow up,
Becoming a serious grown up
Taking my inner child with me
So that on lonely, sad days
I can hold her sticky hand
Whispering:, always remember,
The happy, fun, innocent days
Never forget how to smile, crocodile
Hugging my child like self"

I loved the reminder too of the Wombles.
My Dad brought the record for me. :)
Many happy memories there. :rose:

Freescofr, the thing that worries me the most is, what I knew at their age, they also know as well. Especially the sexual side of things. My daughter tammie is pretty straight up and honest about it, as I try to be too. I dont baffle them with bullshit, i try to answer them as truthfully as I can. I hope my advice pays off.

One day you will be Grandpa/ Poppa/ Grandpa Mike!:D

Hey, don't say that! Cuz I'm only 28 and I don't relish the thought of being a grandmother any time soon!

:D

I have to say it! :) I was only 31 when baby was born. :)
Raised her from four months old till nearly 10 months and her Dad
wanted to try and be a good Dad.
She now lives with him.
At 30 I became stepmum to 16 (nearly 17), 14, 11 and 8 yr old kids.
:)

LOL? I hope I won't become a Gramma again anytime soon. But 18 yr old has been seeing a gal for over five months. ;) One can never tell what can happen.
I do lub Grandbaby though. :) Big time.
(SweetCherry? You and I are gonna be sexy gramma's. Hip, cool, down with it, funky gramma momma's :) )
Draco, thanks again for the Wombles memories. :)
It meant a lot. :)
