Why would a girl who has no romantic or sexual interest in me continue to lead me on?

I never had so much in common with anyone though and neither did she.

And I actually WAS trying to get a girlfriend/get laid up until the last few months we were talking.

I think I started getting scared if we don't become a couple, we'll lose each other and I guess I was right. Though there were other factors too.

I teased her about dating though and she was receptive. If you read our conversations with no context, you'd also think she was interested in me.

As I said before, I think she liked the fact that I was into her and she was special to me. But I think there was some genuine empathy too.

But she later posted that she can only connect deeply with one person at a time, so......

She also said she always ruins things because she'd rather ruin them then risk getting cheated on
