Robert pulled Karina out onto the street by the arm. “Where are they? Both of them.”
After the woman indicated the respective buildings, Robert spent one of his precious moments telling her what he was thinking.
“I can’t leave Lanna to her fate, but I can’t let Terrance die. I’m glad to see he’s got as much talent for choosing friends as he does for everything else. Go to Count Praecher’s and find a way to stall, if nothing else. I’m going after Terrance and we’ll be there as soon as we can.”
With that, he was off to the building Karina had pointed out for where Terrance was being held. He didn’t wait to see Karina’s reaction.
