Elevator. Not a regular passenger elevator in a high-rise, but a secured freight elevator in a 50-story skyscraper. Lots of padding to protect the the walls, also deadens sound. Cute female security guard is escorting two burly furniture delivery guys to deliver a waiting room sofa the 49th floor, when a mild earthquake engages the safety brake and the three are stuck in the freight elevator until the building engineers can free them.
