Not a No-When Null-Existence Non-Affair in Nevermore - it's the heat death of the universe, billions and billions of years from now. The last remnants of the last civilizations are two former 'black hole minds' - beings who were once the composite of many civilizations slowly merging down to uploaded mass-minds over the eons and surviving off the energy of black holes until even those were gone. Now the subsist through background radiation and relative time, where a single thought and mere moment for them would be a billion years for the organic beings they descended from. The last two minds in existence find each other - and this is their love affair over the span of cosmic eternity in the deep dark nothing past the end of time.
