I disagree with good reason. As a matter of fact, I've had women tell me they were interested in videogames. When I asked them what they played, they left me baffled by saying they've only played Second Life. If it's considered a game, it's a 0/10.

I've got a good friend who plays with Second Life and has been out there for years. What he does out there is closer to a computer facilitated table top roleplaying game and he spends a lot of time scripting things for the game (probably more time then he actually spends playing in the game). That feeds his spark of creativity.
He enjoys it and has made several real world friends through it, generally interesting people outside of his normal range of interactions. I have met a couple of them and they're cool folks in my book.
I went to a Second Life gathering with him and even though I never played the game I have to say I had a great time with the people. They're cut from a different cloth than your stereotypical gamer.

Ah! I posed a question without my own response. My answer's twofold (since I posed the question...LOL) I consider Martha's Son's the lustiest and enthusiastic with her daughter's perpetually on fire and capable. Mary's Son's are clever but as with her daughter play with romance more to enchant and seduce.

So I just got done with three hour gaming session tonight. I haven't gamed that hard in who knows how long! It's all the same people though, funny how I see the same names (some have gone, but the most verbal ones seem to stay).
I like to do pvp and warfronts, that means battles against another team with real people. There's this other female cleric healer, Maiq, who just can't stand me. I actually mentioned her in this thread a long time ago. Mai'q pretends to be all civil to me, and has even bought me in-game costumes, but her true nature unfolds in time.
Due to my personality, I almost always keep to myself in a guild, I don't join big social guilds, I prefer to stay out of drama and be everyone's friend. (Okay... also maybe my boyfriend is pretty jealous so I just stay in a guild with him, but he rarely plays so normally it's just me. Actually, he's an ex-boyfriend now anyway.) But I just do a couple of warfronts and then I'm usually picked up by a team. About a year ago I got picked up every night by Maric, Guild Leader of the #1 pvp guild at the time. Maiq happens to be in this guild. Now I'll be in ventrilo with him and he's laughing at how she's throwing a fit in guild chat how he should not be playing with me because I am not a guildie. He should be playing with her. But he did play with her and it didn't work out, but he really loves how well I heal him and he's able to perform better when I keep him alive. I'm not stopping Maric from playing with her, I don't care if they do. But here she is crying every time he plays with me.
Maric stopped playing for awhile, but then Ezio comes along. Now Maiq falls in love with Ezio but again, I group with Ezio a lot too. When I group with people, it's not to gain allies or another man under my belt, remember, I avoid politics in-game. It's just to play, to have fun. But Ezio is this laid back guy who happens to never talk in Skype. He was once my neighbor though, so I get away with teasing him a lot. We are in a group and even Maiq is in the group Skype session. I joke how Ezio keeps talking to me on Vent in one way/secret chat, that he actually really is a talkative guy. We all laugh, except one. Then we all hear a bloodcurdling scream... EZIO, HOW DARE YOU, YOU NEVER TALK TO NOBODY AND THEN YOU TALK TO HER??? I'M YOUR BEST FRIEND, YOU HAVE NEVER TALKED TO ME!!!
Well, that was awkward.
Fast forward to tonight. I no longer play with my one guildie, we have gone our separate ways so I'm a bit lonely. I'm thinking of joining one of the big guilds and lo and behold, Maric's guild is available and they eagerly scoop me up. We're playing a few warfronts together, like old times, and then Maiq logs in. Remember how she ranted that I should not be playing with her guild leader when I am not in her guild? Well tonight is was all about favoritism, and he should not be singling out one healer, he should be asking all his healers to play with him. This time I can see her screams in guild chat, lol.
I say nothing, just listen, a little taken aback, but mostly amused...
Makes you not want to log into the game!

Unfortunately, the only experience I've had with Second Life is that one of the worst stalkers in my life talked about that game all the time.

Tanks almost always get auto queues. Healers get anywhere from an auto queue to ~10 minute queues.
....DPS gets ~30 min - 3 hour long queues.

I'm ending the night finally downloading the restoration project for Fallout 1. I knew there was a Fallout 2 RP, but I didn't know about the Fallout 1 RP. It took me forever to figure out why my screen was all jacked up. Apparently, the automatic high res texture download conflicted with the mod.
So tomorrow, I can play Fallout 1 in a brand new way.
There just aren't enough Fallout games. :/

My question today is a simple one. What is your best Halloween memory?
In mine, it would be the year I actually took both of my kids trick or treating when my oldest was around seven. We picked up the eldest cousin of my sis in law and went to the mall near their house to go trick or treating. It was fun for the kids and a great way to celebrate one of the rare nights I was off for the holiday.

Oh my god, I had a dream that I went back to FFXIV. I was walking through the streets and everybody was looking at me, some were asking me why my gear level was so low. I was on a ninja class, and I queued up with some Arabic guys. They were teaching me the mechanics of a new raid I had never played before.
It was interesting. I was trying to figure out my rotation again but the mechanics of the boss were so tricky that I could only get a few seconds into my rotations before I would be forced to stop.
The raid was easy, and I was hoping for gear to drop. No gear. Two of the same mount dropped and I rolled Need on them both and got them (impossible IRL).
After the raid, I continued my search for understanding how the game had changed. I was constantly being asked by randoms about the days of old when Final Coil of Bahamut Turn 13 was the final raid.
Weird dream.
