Good Morning Spacelings

A nice and quiet morning here. We've got a nice wave of rain coming in later in the day (California needs all the rain it can get) so that will make for a pleasant afternoon.

Starry - I think at a very human level helping people is one of the things I like in this life. I was raised in an environment with the concept of extended family and community and a strong sense of community responsibility. It is one of the things that brings me joy in this life. I love the little stories share because I can relate to them. Keep up the good work!

Tiamo - LOL - I'm right handed as well. I joke that when it comes to masturbation my left hand is strictly there as an observer and cheering section.

Chris - enjoy Skyrim, I hope it lives up to your expectations! I've enjoyed the Skyrim franchise in general and am looking forward to playing the new one - though, being intimately familiar with the software business I tend to give new games a couple of months to work off their bugs before I dive into them.

Good morning Soul - hope your days good.

TNMan - I've always loved that quote since I was younger and learned what it meant. It dovetails with my approach to life - get in, get going, keep going. I am also fond of Kipling's "If".

Thanks hope you enjoy yourself as well.

So, tell me about the silliest situation you have been in recently. Not embarrassing because my goal is not to embarrass anyone, but tell us about the silliest situation.
Well, today I am printing out memorable LOTR quotes and setting them in various parts of my basement where I'm trying to recreate Middle Earth. I'm printing out pictures of the various characters (Frodo, Strider/Aragorn, Gandalf, Legolas, Gimli...) and placing them on paper plates so the person talking can "look" like that person. So the silliest situation I *will* be in recently is LARPing in my basement!

Good Morning to all.
Good morning SA!

Love being able to help others who need it :heart::heart:
Yes, it feels great!

My left hand definitely plays a few roles!

Also, I bet Chris already has put more hours in Skyrim than all of us in the Playground combined. Maybe even just this past month alone, hehe.

Most of the games I play in the past 3 years are in Early Access mode and still in beta or even alpha. I don't know how that happened.

Paul, it's nice to find someone else here in Lit. Land whose spent time reading Kipling and who recognizes the significance of TR's quotes. Both men were very much products of there times and their works sit badly with todays conception of political correctness. The problem with idealism is it distorts ones perception of actual reality.
I don't have anything to say to that but Morning tnman!

Good Morning T,
Hope your well this afternoon

Tiamo - LOL - my brain is on strange tangents today but the first thing I thought of when you said your left hand plays a role was a sock puppet and you soto voce going "spank it! spank it harder!". Your LARP celebration sounds fun.

Tiamo/Soul - excellent new AV's. Soul - you look positively respectful!

I spend some years in Alpha and Beta, which I enjoyed since it was a chance to explore a game/game world before my other gamer friends. I had a friend who was a QA manager for EA and ran their Alpha, so I played a load of EA games in early phases.

Talking technology I've been saying for several years that the company who figures out how to gamify business applications at a low cost will make a fortune and there will be a sudden surge of productivity. At the psychological level games and amazing - people pay to sit in front of the screen and click keys for endless hours and get rewarded with levels and badges. That makes business app analysts salivate.

I am! I'm just happy to get out of bed before noon my time. I went to bed early last night.

I actually typed out what my left hand does, but then deleted, I'm trying to be respectful these days! Like SA's avatar.

I always wanted to gamify something useful. I love learning foreign languages with just that extra motivation built in with levels and rewards. Maybe I will yet someday. Just out of curiosity, I might take this class on Gamification.

Thanks Paul, I can't look like a beast all the time lol.

Tiamo don't worry just be yourself. Your personality and moral fabric is very respectable

Lol, you also reminded me of the apps I used to listen to when I walked/ran. They were pretty buggy so I gave up, this was a few years ago.

Going to try again today and I found WOKAMON! (Walking monsters?)

http://www.wokamon.com/

The more I walk, the more my little pet grows! That little pet is gonna love me, ima gonna make him grow so big!

OMg omg it's compatible with Fitbit!

Also, Pokemon Go has special spooky monsters out this week! I'm going to walk so much, enjoy the last few weeks of warm weather.

Are you going for a certain body goal or just for fun and health. You seem really into it, keep it up. I remember a game where you raise a child( it's in monster form) and raise it.

I just noticed the avatar change. We both are constantly changing Avatars lol.

Yes, my new Harley Quinn shirt arrived today! I was afraid it would be too small. What do you think?

I just make exercise a part of my lifestyle, it helps me deal with all the energy I have. So as long as I somehow am active enough to get over 10k steps in, I'm happy. :) That game sounds a little familiar.

It fits perfectly, very appealing Avatar.

I am into health as well. I feel better and look better when treating my body the right way.

I used to love games, play all day and night. Now I am just a perv on my free time lol. Smh how times have changed.

Is she your favorite female DC Character ?
I find her relationship with joker kind of sad. They're entertaining together, then I over analyze it and see domestic violence.

Yes, I love her. I've loved some crazy people in my life too. My life has been just crazy actually.

I am glad you're here despite the obstacles. Going through crazy situations makes you stronger, wiser, brave and appreciative

So.. I purposely went to eat lunch at a restaurant filled with younger men. A few have said they love the shirt! Yay!!!

Hey, just saw an ad for the new Skyrim on TV here!

Skyrim SE is still locked on Steam. It's out for consoles probably.

The only thing I haven't really done is Skyrim is legit 100% achievements. I do have all achievements but I used a mod to unlock them. Bethesda fixed that with Fallout 4 so I'm going to have to rush them legit before I can apply any mods.

A pure vanilla Skyrim experience.... oh boy....

Hey, at least I have console commands! =P

That's a fun looking app, thanks' for the link!

Adding a link. It's just a spontaneous pic of the shirt, and I had to edit out my messy whiteboard. It has lots of plans on it, hehe.

Love the pic and your new AV is absolutely Tilicious

Yeah it will sell on PS4/XBONE. I guarantee you that Youtube videos will be up comparing Skyrim SE to The Witcher 3 within days. The fanboyism is real.

I am way out of date on gaming lol. They look so real in this day in age.

It's the frame rate that will blow your mind. If you have never seen a game running 1080p at 60FPS, then it will cause a singularity in your brain which will cause BAVD or Buy All Videogames Disorder.

The PS3/XBOX 360 ran games at 30FPS and The Witcher 3 is 30FPS on new consoles. Fallout 4 dips into the 20s on new consoles.

There is only one way for eternal happiness. You must acknowledge that you are a sinner, ask the PC Gods to forgive you, and ask PCJesus to come into your heart and save you from shitty framerates and poor optimization. For PCGods so loved the world that they sent there son PCJesus to die playing consoles. He did this out of love, and all you have to do is believe. As he was dying, a console player sitting next him, saying "Lord, remember me when you're in Heaven." PCJesus said, "Thou will be with me in paradise."

You should pray to gamer Allah, because those games are the bomb lol.

It's just a joke LIT. I respect everyone's choice to any religion.
