As for the Arsenal comment from AFM, that free-kick shouldn't have been taken as the wall wasn't 10-yards yet. Stupid ref.

the wall doesnt need to be back 10 yards for a free kick to be taken ... you can take free kicks quickly the choice and advantage is with the attacking team


only time you cant take free kicks quickly is when the ref is in conversation with a player ... e.g telling the wall to go back 10 yards ... he wasnt doing that against leeds though so ian harte could take free kick quickly

Yeah, I took another look today, they changed the rules so that if the player doesn't ask for 10, he can take it whenever he wants, which is exactly what he did. Sadly, Seaman didn't know about the change. Sad for someone who's his country's #1.
