Yay Team 2025 - The Sex & Sports Author Organized Challenge Support Thread

By all means, you can submit between June 3-9. Assuming Lit's review of your story is a-okay, you should be good. Your story will be published as any other story would between June 3 and June 9, meaning it'll be published in the category you've chosen alongside other stories in that category. Then on June 10th, Laurel will compile all the stories and release them all in a list.
The April Fools contest worked the way you described, with stories being published as normal and then being compiled in the list at the end.

That isn’t how the Geek Pride challenge is working presently, though. Anyone submitting for that challenge is having their stories put in pending until the list publication date of 5/25.

I don’t now what will happen if you submit early for this contest.

Fair points. I took a look at the Geek Pride thread and saw your post about how Geek Pride and OnTheJob are being treated differently.

To be honest, I don't know how Yay Sports will shake out. Laurel is the one who created the announcement. But if I'm quoting the announcement directly, it states: All entries to be submitted and posted as they arrive June 3rd - June 9th. Full anthology list goes up June 10th.

I'd read the above to mean entries will be posted between June 3 and June 9, and the full anthology will also go up June 10th. I guess we'll see! 🤷‍♂️

And related to early submissions, perhaps I'll submit closer to June 3rd than earlier. I wouldn't want my story to somehow get separated from the pack.

YAY TEAM 2025
The Sex & Sports
Author Organized Challenge
😙

This 2nd annual Literotica challenge invites you to submit stories that revolve around or feature sport in some way. Team sports, solo sports, professional sports, amateur sports played solely for recreation, sports fans, fan fiction about famous sports stars...the choice is yours!

The possibilities are nearly endless! A veteran coach has a surprise tryst with an upcoming tennis star; a husband and wife get amorous while watching the Superbowl; five cheerleaders happen upon their team's star quarterback naked in the shower; two people on a date bond over their passion for basketball; a lone surfer is seduced by a mermaid; an alien race engages in bizarre sex-themed sporting contests; a sexy game of strip tennis goes all the way...and on and on and on until the final whistle.

Get off the bench and onto the field with your hot, sexy sports stories! Yay, team!

Guidelines:
1. This event is open to all authors.
2. All stories must involve sport in an at least semi-meaningful way.
3. Chapters in existing series are more than welcome.
4. Stories can be in any category.
5. This is a challenge, and not a contest...there are no winners or prizes...ironic considering this is sports-related, but hey, it's all about how you play the game, right?
6. Sporting cliches are not only welcome but encouraged!
7. Make sure to include the phrase YAY TEAM 2025 in the NOTES TO ADMIN field so your story can be easily located and posted in a timely manner.

Dates:
Submissions June 3rd - June 9th
List of Stories Posted: June 10th

This support thread is designed to encourage authors to get involved and take part in this challenge. Join the team! If you have any questions, please post them here, and they will be answered by myself or one of your other fellow authors.

Thanks to @MyBareTorso who created this challenge last year and has handed me the Olympic torch.

What if your main character is a sports figure?

Yay! I like this way better as I try to put out more than one story each time.
I hope they publish as submitted, but i still wouldn’t submit early.

Yeah, I'd say that works. Hopefully, you'll have more than a simple statement that the character is a sports figure. Hopefully, some aspect of 'sports' feeds into the plot 🙂

Hmm, I say go for it! It’d be nice if you played up the competition aspect. And maybe found a way to sprinkle in aspects of actual sports into the story. But by all means, let it fly!
In that case, how about a striptease competition?

I've just completed the first draft of my submission! Coming in at a cool 21k words, it's a slow-burn gay romance featuring an Olympic diver who turns to doing OnlyFans in order to support their career. In the process, we comment on the broken system of Olympic payments, the unseen toil that goes into competing at the highest level, and the struggle of gruff men to be vulnerable. Set in London, UK, and told in a very British voice.

If anyone would be interested in beta-reading (happy to exchange favors!) I would love some preliminary feedback!

You never know, I may finish the story I wrote 2/3 of for last year's event. I suspect squash won't be a highly featured sport in the event.
LOL in the same boat as you! Had something halfway there last year, just finished it, hoping it can have a reasonable edit before the deadline. My year has been torpedoed by my personal life quite badly, which has meant I've had to cut back on writing along with some tricky things to deal with that make it hard to get my brain into some sort of order to allow it to create coherent stories :)

Oh fuck. I've been busy with a Chain story, and forgot about this. I may manage to finish the draft...

I realized my original draft was kind of shite and lots of details weren’t coming together like I wanted, so I cannibalised it into a different premise.

Now it’s about a swim team manager getting sexy with two of his athletes. (still gay male.)

Just finished draft at 10k words!

A week until the submission window opens (and two until it closes). How's everybody doing?

Mine has moved into a Literotica draft where it's just waiting until June 3rd to submit. It was shamelessly stolen from inspired by @BryanRichardson and his "blowjob competition" idea, although he and I have talked and our interpretations are different enough that they should feel distinct.
I just submitted mine, thinking that Laurel and the team will hold until the 3rd and the release date. Making the Team is First Time awakening sapphic/lesbian story just shy of 10,500 words. Oh and its themed around hockey

Yeah, our stories are completely different.

Sweet! Let us know when your story gets the PUBLISHED label from Laurel for the 3rd. It could give us all some comfort to submit early if we want to.

Still tidying up my story!

Just submitted mine as well, hopefully site admins will hold it till the 3rd.

"His Muchachos" is an emotional story about two swimmers and their beloved team manager overcoming adversity and finding love. Around 17.5k words

Very timely, given the news today of a canoeist having to choose between the Olympics and the OnlyFans account that's funded him this far.

I'd be happy to have a quick look, though probably don't have time for a full beta read. I'll PM you.

I just finished a second story about a collegiate ballroom dance competition, its short but tells the tale I wanted to tell. I would be happy to submit it now. Has anyone else submitted a story and had it set for pending on the 3rd? I don't want to submit early.

The blowjob contest is bigger deal as it is the final chapter of my Records series, I'm waiting a couple of days before a final review so that i can see if I missed anything glaringly obvious. You know, the kind of stuff that you find a week after it has been published?

I've given up on the video revenge. I'll keep that story for another time.

I have submitted but just checked, it is in Pending status. I know Laurel and team are busy coming out of the weekend but I am a patient woman at times.

I've done mine - possibly my shortest story for Lit above 750 words, but there isn't really more to say. I'll edit again on Saturday and submit it.

Back to finishing the Chain story...

Update: sports story submitted. As usual when I can't think of a title, I went for saying what it does on the tin, and alliteration. Hence it's called "Squash. Sweat. Showers. Sex." I doubt you can be too obvious, on Lit...

Looks like we're all submitting our stories as a team.

I submitted mine. It's my first time writing erotica, and my first time sharing anything I've written outside of writing partners. Hopefully it doesn't get rejected too much.

The title is "Is Our Season Over?" and it's the story of the last round of the 11th Appalachian Intercollegiate Blowjob Conference finals. It was inspired by @BryanRichardson 's post in this thread.

I got a lot of help, so if it's good then that's why.
