I get what you mean - and I don't like seeing empty profiles either. I just think there should be full freedom of what people put in those profiles. No need to be stuck in the old a/s/l days

But isn't this a self-regulating problem anyway? People without profiles get less hits and interactions, making them less likely to stay on the app. No need to force everyone to fill in specific details.

It's a problem when most of the messages you get are from blank profiles asking for pics, or, just sending messages that say things like "looking."
Its constant.
Nothing worse than seeing you have a message getting excited, and it says "pics" and its from a blank profile.
There's so many of them they are ruining some sites. You have to scroll a long time to find someone who actually has a real profile.
It would also help filter out the bots.

this is the price you pay for hookup apps or sites. Most will be there for J/O material. I never replied to Anon’s and made it clear in my profile, unless you have filled out a profile with a picture… I’m not replying.
Heck that happens here too. I’ll receive a DM… first thing I do is check the “About” (profile). I look for a detailed description. Seriously though, they can bullshit their way through a profile… at least something. Even worse. The one sentence or one word message and replies.

I agree, blank profiles should not be allowed. I get that people want to be discreet, but they should at least have to have age, height and weight. The blank profiles are running the sites.

I joked with an anonymous. He was worried someone would recognize him. I said, the. You should ask what they’re doing cursing those app or sites

I know. I'm not saying their behaviour is ok. I just don't like how people always seem to focus on physical attributes for finding matches. I wish people were a little more open-minded.

And I guess we all have different views on what is very personal. Age and detailed physical descriptions most certainly are for me. I don't think they should ever be mandatory to disclose.

Besides, if physical attributes were really all that mattered, a place like Lit Chat (and the other hundreds of text based chat rooms) wouldn't even exist.

All I'm saying is, why not let people choose for themselves what information they want to give?
