Most of you know my Lit story ,(sorry for my over enthusiasm just cant keep the happiness in) I met the woman of my dreams here and she is honoring me with giving up the life she has always known and moving to join mine next week.Well,she is all packed up,the moving van is on the way here and she is spending a week visiting mom before coming here,so she will be off the pc for awhile.This gives me a chance to ask everyone a question,while she isnt around.What are some ideas of things I can do to show her she is the most loved woman ever since the beginning of time? I know she knows that I love her,but I want to show her too.

Here are somethings I plan to do. Greet her at airport with one of those signs limo drivers use with persons name on it to show her she is my VIP. I will also have a couple dozen of her favorite flowers for her. Once we get done with all the you know and get to car,I will have a couple more dozen of the flowers for her. Somehow,we will make it to our new home and I will have more flowers at the door unless they disappear.Openning the door and carrying her across the threshold,She will see the home we will share together for the first time,if i can afford it,it also will be covered in flowers especially our um you know sleeping furniture.I will have a bottle of champagne chilled to celebrate not only the beginning of sharing a new abode together but the beginning of our wonderful life together.Then,since it will be afternoon,I will have a picnic basket packed with romantic goodies(any help here,also appreciated) for a rommantic indoor picnic.
During all the time from the airport,starting with first in the car
and then in our home,I will play a cd i burned of all the songs we have shared to express our feelings.Dinner catered in from a restaurant,hopefully with her favorite foods.The evening spent watching movies cuddled together, ending with the one she always felt was about our story.I hope to end the night with champagne,chocolate covered strawberries in a candle lit room.
The next afternoon,after waking up,Ill feed her with breakfast in bed so she wont have to set a step out of bed,spending the day there,just sharing our love,both cuddling and well you know,doing whatever I need to do to please her. Dinner out at a
very rommantic italian dinner and a night on the town,dancing the night away.
The next day,we will spend hand in hand exploring her new hometown together.

I think you have covered all the bases. But does she like warm bubble baths? I would fit one of those in somewhere.....

Oh my...I'm gonna cry. This same thing is happening to me, only he is moving south to be with me. I know so well how you're feeling at this moment, and I am as happy as a human being can be for another...bless you.

You have really captured all that a woman relates to, but just know that it is YOU that she will be so lost in. All the rest is much like eye candy...its there, it enhances, but Sir, its you that will captivate her.

My contribution is subtle, because I am into the little things...the way a home smells is very important to me. Use simmering potpourris with fresh scents, or warm scents like cinnamon, vanilla and oranges. You just put a large pot of water on the stove, add cinnamon sticks and ground cinnamon, a few drops of vanilla and orange (and/or apple) slices and let it simmer all day. You will have to add water frequently.

Use linen sprays on the bed..these can be found in most any finer stores, especially bath and body shops. I also spray them on curtains, upholstery and pillows.

Write her a little love letter and place it atop her pillow. You can go even further and hide them in different places you're sure she'll be...towels, cabinets, etc. You can even make a game of it by leaving instructions that take her from one spot to the next....

Dancing after her favorite dinner, you know the one you are catering in? Slow, sensous and romantic dancing......

OK...hows this? Along the lines of "Time in a bottle"... print this thread, roll it up and tie it with a ribbon, and place it and any other little momentos regarding the merging of your 2 lives into one in your new home, and place them in a bottle, or box, and bury them in your yard, or under the house...together. Its a little spin on "christening" your new home, and new life.

Is her name on the mailbox yet?

I don't know the whole story here but an idea that may be of use (you'll have to decide based on your girl..). I did this 20 years ago when my now ex-wife moved in with me.

I went around the apartment and any place where there was storage I moved/rearranged my things to make space for her.

On the shelves I left an index card with "XXXX's Shelf". I did the same with some dresser drawers and a closet, the med chest, etc.. All over the apartment where these little tags with "XXXX's space", "XXXX's Closet", "XXXX's drawer", etc.. I made space for pictures on bookshelves and walls too!

Anyway, when she arrived with her stuff I helped unload and as she walked around the apartment she kept finding these little cards. (some were indside so she had to open the drawer or cabinet to find them..).

She thought the idea that I had gone out of my way to make room for her and her stuff and added the little cards was romantic..

Trying to catch up with LIT

Just wanted to update this love story a little!

I've been HOME here a little over a month, and Oman made my homecoming so wonderful!
