Poems on New Submissions Page

Or the lack of thereof...

Can anyone tell me what is going on with new poems taking so long to post? I've noticed a pattern the last several weeks where poems are not posted on the New Poems page after Wednesday or Thursday. More recently, poems between that time are posted a mere 10 poems at time. I know there has to be a big back log with so few released.

I ask this because I submitted two non-erotic poems without fancy html formatting this past Mon/Tues and they're still in que. If it's something automated, I think more poems should be released in que than what has been and posted every day like stories.

Poems have been slow to post many times in the past, but 4 or 5 days is a bit long. You could PM laurel. Not sure if you'll get a response or not.
By the way, I don't think there's any urgency to get poems up like there is with stories. Stories keep this site in business.

The imperative word here is "business". Literotica exists to make money, and poetry doesn't make any money. Poets at best may raise the "tone of the site" a wee bit. We are really more like flies buzzing around the cash cow; tolerated, but not loved. - How many of you have even recently clicked on a sponsor's banner? Do any of us do more than take up bandwidth here? - Be glad for the freedom and free space we have, and don't annoy the farmers lest they get out the flyswatters or even fumigate the barn. ;)

I have one that has been in a week also neo... illustration poetry

I was curious, this seem to come about around the time of the two plagerized poems and thought perhaps they did a search to ensure this doesn't happen again, but that would be a lot of work. But, I noticed the delays also. Lately, erotic and non-erotic poems have been taking two to three days and illustration poems sometimes two weeks.

We have banners? lol
Okay, I'm bad. I don't click.
One minute later: I clicked on Capt. Stabbin The Anal Adventure. That's it for me until next year.

Haven't illustrated poems always been slower to post than non. ill poems? With a week long delay, or something like that

Neo-
I don't post as many as I used to but they have taken a lot longer than they ever have. I used to be able to get them in before 1-2 am and still have them show up in the morning, now the regular ones take 2-3 days.

Maybe MET is right, maybe Pablo Neruda's ghost rattled his pens until they decided to check for originality.

And I clicked on that new video link a couple of times. Something about those poking plant probiscous that keeps me coming back for more.

 Yes, I know that Eve, thank you. I was just frustrated is all. Ya, know...haven't looked at your red shoes in awhile, which by the way, Eve's Red Shoes is my most viewed poem.

If that's the case about plahgerizers then I emphasize for sure. Still. I felt the need to whine a little :D

And miss anna that's because you're an herbaceous pervert! Which reminds me. I'm co-writing a very naughty story about a flytrap. I link you later (I promise it will be a short read.)

-- Thanks all for hearing me out. Much appreciate it! My two poems showed up so no more whining from me (well, for now). ;)

A neurotic neo whine is good -- better if we were to get a poem.;)

Well worth waiting for.

One more reason to edit it. Less is more, a zillion times! Here you go:

Eve's Red Shoes

"He doesn't listen to me!"
her ruby heels exclaim points

her blouse is tight
neckline low
i see her
buck-assed naked
grabbing red shoes

It's probably the Earth Day Contest taking up time with entries...

I submitted a bunch of audio poems well over a week and a half ago (and not all on the same day) and they ALL got published today!

I can give them some slack--I honestly think there are just two of them going through all the entries, prose and poems... that's a lotta work!
