Hints and tips for navigating the forum side of Literotica - especially for newbies.

I joined some years ago and have only been reading forums and stories but I recently started doing a little posting. (I very much value my anonymity and wanted to be certain that I was untraceable).

I've managed to navigate the site by trial-and-error but the one thing I can't master is the ability to move back and forth between the story "side" and the forums "side" without logging off and then logging back in again. Interestingly, when I log off one side and onto the other it doesn't seem necessary to have to put in my username and password again. Does Lit have a "remember me" feature that expires within a very limited time? Or is there a better way to switch sides?
I get the feeling the forum and story side are on two different servers so ^ yes, keep two tabs open.

You can end up chasing your tail playing Login to the forum, but I think I manage it through my profile, then follow the link to my signature?? Something like that. It's not just you - I'm still confused by it after ten years.

I don't find this to be a problem. I start by navigating to "Literotica.com" and navigate to My Home page, or directly to My Home via a bookmark. Then I pull down the EXPLORE menu and open "FORUMS," and I'm logged in. After that, I leave multiple tabs open so I never have to navigate back and forth. You might check your Browser settings and the cookie settings in particular.

You don't need to use two tabs if you don't want to.

From the forum side, pull down the "Explore" menu from the top of the screen. "Categories" gets you to the main story page. Use "Lit Control Panel" at the top right to get to your home page. The menus are in different places when viewing on a mobile device, but they're there.

The "Explore" menu is available on both the story side and the control panel, and they will get you back to the forum. You can move between the control panel and the category page using the "Explore" menu and the drop-down menu from your avatar.

I think this is one of the first things I address in my Hints. You don't actually have to log in twice.

I've settled on the hypothesis that the random requirements for getting "into" the forum side is a means of combating bots. Just my idea.

Thank you all. This was much appreciated. I'll be trying these suggestions to see which one fits me better. :)
